Two reporters are sick of writing nonsense stories for
the local newspaper and have just gotten a lead on a
serial killer who has been terrorizing the area for
almost twenty years. His name is Gurdy the clown and
wreaks havoc with his oversized meat cleaver everywhere
he goes. Is there any way to stop him before the
reporters become his next victims?

100 Tears is probably the first insanely gory slasher
flick that I've seen that doesn't have a single boob
shot in it. I don't know what that has to do with
anything but I just had to get that off of my chest.
Anyway, this low-budget horror flick involves yet
another killer clown. Is this any better than the
suck fests "SICK", "Mr Jingles" or "Dead Clowns" you
ask? Well, perhaps just slightly. Not story wise though,
that's for sure.

A killer clown named Gurdy or the Teardrop Killer goes
around killing people at random with his gigantic
meat cleaver. And I mean GIGANTIC! Meanwhile, two
reporters are trying to figure out who he is and what
he's trying to achieve and all the clues lead up to
an amusement park. There's really not much more to
say about the plot really. The story is centred on
the two reporters and every now and then there are
scenes edited in where Gurdy goes on a killing spree.
These are the scenes that make the movie slightly
better than the other recent dreadful clown flicks.

See, the death scenes are insanely gory. It almost
classifies as a splatter flick, but the gore effects
are so well done that it doesn't feel cheap or cheesy
enough to be called a splatter movie. In fact, the
entire movie does look fairly well made despite its
low budget. Some scenes even look like they were shot
with a 35mm camera (which I'm sure they weren't) so
I applaud the camera crew and the director for that.
The acting is a mixed bag. The random victims are for
most part horrible actors but are only in the movie
for a brief moment while the main characters are...
well, they're better but still not good.

The clown himself is extremely intimidating and probably
one of the scariest looking clowns that I've ever seen.
Had they only made this a teen slasher-flick, I'm sure
that I would have loved it. It really had the potential
to be great. Unfortunately they were too busy coming
up with new death scenes that they completely forgot
that movies are supposed to have an interesting premise
as well to be able to grab the viewers attention.

Ultimately, 100 Tears isn't a complete train wreck. It's
got some serious pacing problems and the story just
isn't very good. But if you want to see buckets of gore
and a very creepy clown, then 100 Tears is a safe bet.
Personally, I wouldn't recommend it, but I'm sure that
Lions Gate will be picking this up for distribution
any day now and re-title it to "Psycho Clown".

Where do I start? We get countless decapitations, a
head split in half, guts everywhere, people getting
chopped up like dead fish, severed body parts, blood
spraying everywhere and a whole lot more.

Both the rock and techno music failed to impress me.

100 Tears is a fairly poor killer clown movie, only
watchable due to its insane amount of gore. I swear,
I haven't seen a movie as gory as this in ages. If
you're looking for a gory slasher flick, you might
want to give this one a chance, but don't expect a
good movie, just a gory one.
