It's the summer of 1916 and everyone wants to cool off
in the water. But when a killer shark shows up in a small
summer town and starts to eat anyone who goes into the
water, tourism begins to decrease. Is there any way to
stop this killer shark before the small town goes bankrupt?
Well, it seems like it's up to Alex, a lifeguard to try
to save the day.

Don't ask me why I bothered checking out yet another
shark feature after having seen such movies as Hammerhead
and Blue Demon, but I just did and to my big surprise,
this actually wasn't all that bad. 12 Days Of Terror was
apparently based on some famous book, now I don't read
books - they put me to sleep - but I'm guessing that it
must have been a pretty good one. This is basically just
like any other killer shark movie, BUT it takes place in
1916 which makes it feel a whole lot more original than
it actually is. And just the feeling of originality made
this a whole lot more interesting than most of the other
DTV shark flicks out there.
The movie basically revolves around a lifeguard, Alex,
who wants them to close down the beach after a shark
attack. When they refuse to do so, naturally we get
more shark attacks and panic starts spreading in the
small town. What's funny about this movie is that all
of the victims are male. There is not one female attack
in the entire movie and that felt kind of strange to
me. Anyway, the movie is basically built up as a drama
with a couple of shark attacks in it but the story just
manages to pull you in enough to make you care about
what's going on in the movie.
Overall, this is not a brilliant movie, but I loved the
fact that it tried to do something different. It was a
risky concept but they actually managed to pull it off
quite well. 12 Days Of Terror will probably please many
fans of killer shark movies since it doesn't constantly
focus on the killer shark, but actually has a few good
subplots in it as well. Compared to the other recent
shark flicks that I've seen, this is a masterpiece, but
without comparing it to anything, this was a very
forgettable movie even if it was relatively entertaining.
I doubt that I will be seeing it again.

One guy gets his legs bit off and then we get some other
gory legs but this shark seems to be aiming mainly for
peoples legs.

Nothing special here. Works for its intents and purposes.

12 Days Of Terror takes the killer shark concept to a
different level. It's an entertaining movie but it's
got too much drama in it to be a really great one. One
of the better shark flicks that I've seen in quite a
while though so you might want to check this one out.
