A lesbian couple
is studying photography and
when one of the girls gets a passion for
photographing death things start going utterly
wrong. Someone is sending her videotapes of
how that someone beats and kills some random
girl. She starts freaking out but her girl-
friend believes it's just a prank. She has no
idea how dead wrong she is.

The Pang brothers are at it again with a
story as far from The Eye as it could get.
The story is however the only thing different
from The Eye. I'm telling you there are some
scenes in here that look directly copied from
The Eye. It didn't bother me that much though.
Once again the Pang brothers have decided to
start out with one story and end with a new
one so that it becomes like two movies in one.
It's just such a shame that the first story
is very slow-paced and uninteresting while the
second story is absolutely killer. It brings
snuff movies back into horror movies again
which I absolutely loved. The first 50 minutes
basically revolves around Jinay and Jas, a
lesbian couple. Jinay starts taking photos
of dead or dying creatures including humans
but she soon gets too drawn into her art so
that she starts to feel an urge to kill as well.
Luckily, Jas is there to help her get through
it. As you can hear, there's not a lot of
horror going on in the first fifty minutes.
The second part however pays up to what the
first part of the movie didn't give us. Now
we're given disturbing video tapes, some gore
and suspense. The only negative thing is that
the concept of the second part was good enough
to make a feature film about. The second part
goes past way too quickly and feels kind of
rushed, they should've just shortened the first
part from 50 minutes to 20 minutes. We would
have gotten the idea anyway and the backstory
really wasn't needed.
It's nice to see that the Pang brothers are
back on track again after their not so great
sequel to The Eye. I hope that we can expect
to see more from them in the future as they
work brilliantly together.

Some bloody bashings with a pipe pretty
bloody, a lot of splatter.

Oooh! I liked this! I liked this a lot! We
get the drums from The Eye, some pop music
but the most brilliant part was the
experimental piano music, simply fantastic.

You never do know what to expect from these
brothers. This is clearly a step in the right
direction again even if it's far from as good
as The Eye. I suggest you check this one out,
especially if you liked Argento's The Card
Dealer as it has some obvious similarities.
