Jeremiah and his mother lived alone in a secluded cabin in
the woods until one day when Jeremiah's mother is raped
and killed. Many years later, Jeremiah still lives under the
floor of the cabin and all he wants is to keep for himself
and get rid of all the uninvited guests. When six friends
decide to spend the night in the cabin, they have no idea
what deadly consequences are waiting for them.

"A Crack In The Floor" was made in the teen slasherwave of
the 2000's but there's something about this one. While most
slashers that came out at that time had a masked killer,
this one has a clumsy, longhaired and very asocial killer.
I saw this two years ago and I still haven't grown to like
it, though I did like it better this time I watched it.
I guess I've seen so many no-budget slashers now that I am
satisfied as long as the movie doesn't look like it was made
with a home camera.

I actually thought that the acting was pretty good in this
one, well with expectance from Mario López ofcourse. The one
person that stands out has to be Francesca Orsi, she is
really good enough to be in any movie in my opinion. The
directing is pretty average, I wasn't too fond about a couple
of angles that Sean Stanek had used, like the shots at Mario
López driving the car. This is one of those movies that you
know that it wasn't the acting or the directing that made it
bad... so what made it bad then? My guess is the script and
the terrible story.

There is no chance that you'll be able to find something
enjoyable about this film unless your a die-hard slasherfan.
I'm still pretty positive about this movie compared to what
the majority of my friends are. I can't really tell why this
movie ended up in such a mess because it really has the
potential to be a good movie. This is one to see with your
boyfriend or girlfriend if you want to cuddle and not care
too much about the movie. For pure entertainment use, this
is not the best choice.

We get a very fake-looking slit throat scene, one gets a
bear trap in the face and one gets a hayfork in the stomach.
Sounds gory? Well it isn't.

We start off with a guy playing the electric guitar and
from there it's just downhill for the soundtrack. From now
on we have to listen to a lot of hillbilly music and
we even get to hear something that sounds like a clip from
the Mission Impossible theme.

I don't see how anyone can find any satisfaction by watching
this very forgettable slasher. Believe you me, there are
better slashers out there to kill time with than this one,
my advice is that you try to avoid this one and for you who
have already seen this, I'm deeply sorry that I didn't review
it in time.
