Trying to
prevent world war 3 from happening, a group
of American soldiers are sent out to kill terrorists.
Something which proves to be harder than they had
expected as an evil scientist has a pack of genetically
engineered bats working for him. And they have a taste
for flesh... The question isn't if they will die, the
question is who or what will kill them first?

Here we are, almost ten years after the lousy horror
flop "Bats" was released in theatres, only to bomb
disastrously at the box-office. Why would anyone want
to make a sequel for this film? Well, if you can
really call Bats: Human Harvest a sequel. See Bats:
Human Harvest has absolutely no connection with its
predecessor. In fact, I'm pretty sure that no one
would have ever thought that this was meant to be a
sequel to Bats had they called it something like
"Killer Bats" or "Wings Of Death". This brings me back
to the question, why would they even release this as
a sequel? I guess the Sci-Fi channel are simply that
desperate for some attention these days.
Bats: Human Harvest is actually even worse than Bats
and undoubtedly one of the worst killer bats flick
that I've ever seen. This time a group of soldiers
find themselves attacked by a pack of mutated, flesh-
eating bats while on a mission in Afghanistan. Typical
Sci-Fi channel material in other words. Once again we're
stuck with a lousy creature feature which was probably
written in less than ten days. No effort seems to have
went into this production at all. Just like with the
crocodile in Primeval, the bats have to settle in the
background as the terrorists and action scenes are
more in focus. Shit, I just realized that Primeval may
very well be the Sci-Fi channel's next sequel. Anyhoo,
this is really a shame as the bats look pretty realistic.
They're obviously the stars of the movie.
There are no real characters to be found in here and
it's overall a very shallow movie. The movie was
obviously shot on a low budget and it didn't even
take them a month to shoot the entire thing. At least
the first movie tried to be good, but this didn't
seem to have any intentions of being so. Well I think
I've said enough. If you like killer bat movies, there
are unfortunately very few good ones out there and
this is one of the worst ones that I've seen so far.
Hell, even "Fangs" was better. If we get to see a
Bats 3 I will seriously consider committing suicide.
Come on Sci-Fi channel, you have the money so why not
spend it on some better scripts instead?

An arm ripped off, some skeletons and a hole in the head.

I've given up reviewing Sci-Fi channels soundtracks as
they're all the same.

This was, just as I had expected, complete rubbish
obviously meant to simply fill the TV-schedule. The
only thing good about the movie is the bats and they
are left in the background. Why wouldn't they just
make a normal bat movie. We've seen enough war-themed
creature features so let it go Sci-Fi channel.
