An insane plastic surgeon is taking body parts from
various female actresses and putting them on his
daughter's face. Why? Because some time ago he and
his family were in a car accident which left his
daughter horribly burnt. His latest victim, Melissa,
may be the end to this madness though, as she doesn't
give up without a fight.

Why is it that almost all surgeon-themed slasher
flicks turn out to be abysmal? Bit Parts is a poor
mix between Dr. Giggles and Skinned Deep where a
mad plastic surgeon is trying to give his daughter
the face that she's always dreamed of. Seeing as how
this is a no-budget horror flick, it's no surprise
that the entire movie is one big plot hole. You can't
just take body parts from various people and put
them on another person, it's not as simple as that.
Something which the people behind this movie apparently
didn't think about. On the other hand, it didn't feel
as if they thought about anything when they made this
terrible horror flick.

Bit Parts probably looked a whole lot better on paper
but what we have here feels amateurish, cheap and
incompetent. The dialogues are laughable, the acting
is terrible and the daughter, Maggie, is one of the
worst psychos ever. As if that wasn't enough, the
movie is also dreadfully slow-paced, this despite
the fact that it's only about 70 minutes long. The
movie either focuses on a passed-out Melissa, the
psychotic family, or Melissa's sister and a cab-driver
who are trying to find Melissa.

There's not a whole lot more to say really. I had a
terrible time watching this and while I'm sure this
may appeal to some people out there, I'm not one of
them. If you enjoyed the cheesy horror flick "Skinned
Deep", this might be something for you, but I just
don't want to encourage indie directors to make
horror movies if they're going to make something as
awful as this. What's even worse is that it apparently
took 3 years to finish. I actually feel sorry for
the makers of this film. Don't bother - it's awful.

A lot of body parts but everything looks very fake.

Horrible soundtrack reminiscent of the ones used in
DTV slashers from the late 80s.

This movie doesn't have any redeeming qualities about
it and I almost feel bad bashing it down so much since
I know how much time went into making it. But the
fact is, Bit Parts is a terrible piece of crap.
There's no other way to say it.
