A teen guy visits his late grandfather's summer
place in Wisconsin with his friends. At the same
time other vacationers goes fishing in the local
lake, and one by one they're killed off by a
maniac wielding a huge fish hook. Who's the killer
and who will defeat him?

Of all the low-grade, low-budget crappy 80s
slashers this is one of worst. Not to mention the
bad quality, this is funny when it tries to be
serious and dull when it tries to be funny. It
does everything wrong and amateurish work behind
and in front of the camera doesn't exactly help.

To start with the film's plot, it's far too
complicated for this kind of thrash. It all has
something to do with the guy and his grandfather,
and loud music which every victim seems to play
before they bite it. The killer's identity and
"motive" are ludicrous and the reveal of him comes
completely out-of-hand, so does the climax which
ends abruptly with the film's ending leaving
some character's fates unclear.

The acting is the only scary thing about the film.
The leading man is one of the worst actors I've
ever seen in a film - he just reads his lines
right from the script with no charisma or empathy
whatsoever. Another main character, the girl
called Bev, made me laugh but not the way she was
supposed to. At first she gave the impression
that the character was retarded or something, but
after a while it was made clear that the actress
was just overacting badly.

This goes for most actors in the film. They're
either overacting or not acting at all, don't know
what's worst. One hilarious bit has a girl
screaming frantically with none of the words
coming out of her mouth making any sense. This is
obviously an attempt of the actress to play upset
and hysterical but it just looks ridiculous.

Besides that, the film is mostly boring. It's not
even bad in a fun way. Too much time is spent
on needless subplots and most scenes have nothing
to do with the rest of the plot. There are some
moments of nasty gore and violence, but not enough
to make it gross-out fun. The so-called "horror"
scenes starts too slow and ends too quickly.

Victims get gutted with the fish hook, which
appears out-of-nowhere and gets slammed into their
bodies. The killer also shoves hooks through the
corpses (obvious stand-in dummies) mouths and
ties them together like a string of fish. Nice.

Ehm... Let's not get into that. Lots of bad 80s
rock music.

A very bad movie. Little gore, no suspense, awful
acting, terrible plot, goofy title... Having
doubts there's anything good about this film.
Don't waste your time. Skip it!
