Tracy is a typical teenage girl, she's got her
hunky boyfriend (haha as if), her good gal pals
and a weird man stalking her. Who is it that
has been stalking Tracy recently and what could
he possibly want?

I read somewhere that it took seven years to finish
this atrocity and all I could think while watching
this movie was "Why did they even bother after
having seen how the first few scenes turned out?".
Maurice Devereaux is responsible for this
abysmal semi-slasher flick and I was very
surprised to see that this is the same director
who brought us the awesome slasher flick "Slashers"
a couple of years ago since there seemed to be
no directorial skills behind the camera in Blood
Symbol at all.

So the movie starts out with two girls running
and screaming just before we are introduced to
young, promising basket ball playing Tracy. All
of a sudden we cut to four years later for some
unknown reason (I guess the first scene was
actually shot four years before the main movie
started shooting) and Tracy is still in school,
only far from as attractive as she was in the
opening scene. It's easy to see which scenes
where shot when and such since the actress
playing Tracy, Micheline Richard, didn't age
very well. It probably didn't help that the
director shoved the camera up in her face
in numerous scenes either.

Blood Symbol is just barely a slasher movie
since the body count is very low. It's really
more of a stalker thriller, and a bad one at
that as well. To sum it up nicely, it doesn't
matter what genre you put Blood Symbol in, it
will still be as atrocious. Don't ever watch
this movie unless you want to be bored to death.

Some unimpressive knife stabbings and a couple
of slit throats failed to keep my interest.

The horrendous soundtrack consists of some
awful piano music (and I mean awful, it sounds
like someone is playing on a broken piano) and
some abysmal violin music.

It doesn't get much worse than this. This low
budget slasher flick should have stayed unmade
as it doesn't have enough of anything to keep
ones interest. This is cheesy nonsense with no
gore and a horrible story with atrocious actors
and even worse directing.
