A man who recently escaped from an asylum accidentally
releases a chupacabra which was locked inside a barn.
Well, soon enough the chupacabra is out for new blood
and so the killing begins. Will anyone be able to stop
the chupacabra once and for all?

Bloodthirst 2!? How did an awful movie like Bloodthirst
get a sequel!? Anyway, let's start out by comparing the
two movies. The first movie was probably a huge success,
not through word of mouth naturally but through the
awesome DVD cover which tricked everyone into renting
it since the production values for this sequel look like
they were a whole lot better than they were for the
first movie. While the first movie looked like it was
shot by a couple of film students, the sequel actually
looks like a real feature film, it's even presented in
widescreen format.
The chupacabra looks a whole lot better in this flick
than it did in the first one as well. However, it
looks very CGI-made and doesn't resemble the one we
saw in the first movie at all. In fact, this doesn't
look like any chupacabra I've EVER heard of, I mean,
since when does a chupacabra have wings? And since
when does it have a big pouting mouth with large sharp
teeth (which have the same colour as the rest of the
chupacabra for some strange/cheap reason). Either way,
it's not that big of an issue really since the creature
has a very, and I mean VERY small part in the movie.
The story focuses more on some strange things going
on in an asylum than on the pathetic CGI creature (try
not to laugh every time you see it, it's almost
impossible). Bloodthirst 2 might have had a higher
budget than the first movie did, but it sure as hell
is just as bad. Don't even ask me why I decided to
watch this flick because I don't have an acceptable
answer for you. Don't make the same mistake that I
did, instead, avoid both of these movies as much as
you can and get "Chupacabra Terror" instead.

A chick gets her head bit off by the chupacabra but
that's nothing to get excited about.

Oh my, it seems as if someone is learning how to use
Cakewalk 1.0. The MIDI score is absolutely horrible
and sounds like it was made by a tone-deaf kid.

With higher production values, Bloodthirst 2 manages
to be just as awful as the first one was. I fell
for the temptation to watch it, but please do yourself
a favour and get out of the video store as soon as you
start feeling strangely drawn to the cover for
Bloodthirst 2 and spend your money on something else.
