Tricia and Steve decide to go on a camping trip along with two
of their friends to patch up their relationship since it's been
on and off the last month. At Camp Blackwoods they meet up with
their guide Harris who is very familiar with the area. They find
out about a local legend about a killer in a clown mask who's
running around in the woods around Camp Blackwoods... and soon
they are about to find out that legends sometimes do come to life.

Finally I decided to review this new classic. Camp Blood is known
for how bad it is and most horrorfans know about it. I've seen
it three times now and I have to say that it grows on you.
The plot is really stupid and it's a terrible movie but it's
almost so bad that it's good. One noticeable flaw, which brings
down the movies quality a notch is that while the colours are
excellent on the trailer, the colours are very poor on the
movie itself, especially the red, which is more, like a mix of
orange and brown.
The acting is rather good from the lead actress and she sure
knows how to scream, she actually screams NO! in different
parts of the woods for about a minute, now that's quality
entertainment, really hilarious. The rest of the cast isn't
very good though and they also have double parts as more than
one person. I guess they didn't have a very high budget so
they did what they could, but I personally think that they could
just have skipped the scenes where they were playing a
different part.
Lowbudget director Brad Sykes has obviously come a long way
since he made his debut with this movie since his more recent
works look much more professional. The directing is really
poor and there's a scene where we can see one of the crew
workers in the background (at least I think so as there where
a couple of feet in the background). If this would have had
a higher budget, I'm sure Mr. Sykes would have managed to
make a much better presentation.
In my eyes this is a classic but for those who can't enjoy
a nobudget slasher once in a while, this isn't the way to go.
Obviously I don't think it's an excellent or even alright movie
since I only give it two stars but it's just one of those
movies that I can watch over and over again without ever getting
sick of it (well I've only seen it thrice so far so we'll have
to see about that I guess).

While the red in the movie isn't very good as I mentioned before,
there is still some pretty graphical gore. One gets a machete in
the head, another one decides to get the machete through the
stomach instead and one loses the head.

It's pretty good actually, sounds cheap but it creates the
atmosphere. In some chase scenes the sound goes silent and
the only thing you hear is the music, I thought that was pretty
cool and original.

No I did not get this for free so I honestly think it's
quite entertaining however difficult that might be for one
to understand. There are so many bad slashers out there and
I was just happy to get a good bodycount and some action in
this. I mean, take "I've been waiting for you", it has a
bodycount of zero and still calls itself a slasher. This is
a real slasher with lots of flaws, I can mention about 10
if anyone is interested but it's still entertaining and
that's what counts in the mindless slasherworld of fun.
