A couple of students move to a house where webcams
will be watching them 24/7. The ones owning the
company behind the project expect it to be a big
success, almost as big as The Real World but they
soon realize that they got the wrong people. The
students aren't exactly lively, all they do is
talk, eat and sleep... and die! Soon a masked killer
finds his way to the house where he starts killing
anyone who's inside, or outside the house.

I've been wanting to see TheCampusHouse.Com ever
since I first heard about it like a year ago. Too
bad that this concept has now been done to death.
During the last couple of years we've seen movies
like Kolobos, Voyeur.Com, Hell Asylum, WatchUsDie.com
and the very successful My Little Eye. They all
have the same idea. A horrorflick mixed with Big
Brother. Well, I still like the idea but I've just
seen it one time too many now, it just doesn't
feel fresh anymore, it's been done. This was
nothing original and the only really cool thing
about the movie was the killers mask, the rest
of the movie is very average.

This low budget horrorflick is directed by David
Gardner and despite the low budget I think the
movie looks pretty good. The use of colors is
always vibrant and nice to look at. However,
there's one scene that felt very amateurish.
Almost as if the director had found a cool
effect thing that was built in in the camera.
The scene to which I am referring to involves
a girl getting murdered and the whole screen
sort of goes black and white every now and
then, showing just the contours of the killer
and the girl getting killed. Not very good.

The acting goes from bad to average. Tracy
Pacheco, who I thought was really bad in
Bloody Murder, actually manages to put out
a pretty good performance and certainly
the best among the cast. When I did an
interview with one of the cast members, Lee
Turner, I learned that the movie would
probably be a whole lot different than
WatchUsDie.Com, though I still feel that
the two movies are pretty identical. Nothing
special here at all. I'm very disappointed.

How clever to film all the impalements in a way
that we don't really get to see anyone get
impaled, just the end of a bloody sword or
something along with a slashing sound. Hated
that. Anyway, we get to see someone get his/
hers throat slashed, well just barely anyway.
We also get to see a guy get his head chopped
off. Not very impressing here either.

Some rock pop music which was not very good
but suited the movie well. Could've been a bit
more dynamic, but I thought that it did the trick.

Unoriginal slasher about a masked killer killing
a bunch of students in front of webcams. If you
still haven't grown sick of this concept,
I suggest you check it out. Don't expect better
than average though as it is really nothing
special. Sorry about the hype folks, I was wrong
about this one.
