A convicted serial killer is sent out on the
streets to kill aliens who are taking over
people's bodies. The aliens can transfer into
a new body any time they want which makes the
job even more difficult for this serial killer.
Will he be able to kill them all before it's
too late or will the aliens win?

All right, I've seen my fair share of crappy
alien movies but this it's been a long time since
I saw one this bad. Choker is an over-ambitious,
ridiculously ludicrous, low-budget horror flick
which has gotten much more credit than it deserves.
Apparently, the movie was shot in twelve days and
on a shoestring budget but to use that as an
excuse for why this movie turned out to be so
bad is just pathetic - and that people actually
buy it is even worse. Loads of indie horror
movies are shot in less than two weeks and most
of them turn out better than this, just take
Shredder as an example which was shot in only
11 days. They didn't complain about the time,
they just worked their asses of with a slick
and entertaining script - something which Choker
obviously didn't have.

The story reminded me a lot of the movie "Subhuman",
but no one would ever rip that movie off so I'm
guessing that the makers of Choker haven't seen
that one. The movie was shot with a HD-camera and
even if the director has done an acceptable job,
the lighting and photography is quite horrible.
The acting however is the best thing about this
movie and not only is Paul Sloan, playing the
serial killer Hud Masters, hot but he's also
got some great acting skills and I can safely
say that if it wasn't for him, I don't think
that I would have been able to finish watching
this film, the story is just that bad.

I'm surprised to see great reviewers like John
"The Arrow" Fallon give this a positive review
as I just didn't see what was so good about it.
The first half hour is all right, the second
half hour is bad and the third half hour is just
pathetic with some awful fighting scenes. I doubt
that this tragic sci-fi thriller will find US
distribution any time soon so hopefully you
will never have to witness what I just saw. It
has some redeeming qualities but not enough to
make this worth the while.

Nothing here.

The soundtrack is relatively cheesy but to be
fair, it does actually work.

I wish someone would tell me what's so good
about this movie because I sure as hell didn't
see it. It's slow-paced, it's got a terrible
story and it's definitely not worth spending
any money on. Poor excuses won't make this movie
worth the while for me.
