It's time for a high school reunion and even though the
tables seem to be set up for an entire class, only six
people arrive at the reunion. They soon find themselves
trapped inside the school with a vicious serial killer.
What have they done to deserve this? And who could possibly
be the killer?

..who
could possibly be the killer? More like who could
possibly care? Class Reunion Massacre has to be one of
the worst slashers that came out of the 70s. It's hardly
even a slasher flick, it focuses more on religious mumbo
jumbo. And I for one hate it when they mix religion into
horror movies as my personal thought is that religion is
a phenomenon created by man to give us a purpose with
life (please don't send me bunches of emails trying to
convert me into a believer). Either way, this was a pretty
common concept to use back in the 70s with movies like
The Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby and I can see how this
might've been scary back then, but today it just feels
like a whole lot of nothing.
The first 20 minutes or so of the movie are terribly
edited and make absolutely no sense until later on in
the movie, and by then we are way too busy trying to stay
awake rather than focusing on some nonsense back-story.
I mean, why have a back-story when there's no real story
in the first place? It's basically just a couple of people
getting killed off one by one by some religious guy who's
called the redeemer. The acting is awful and there is
hardly any real characters in it. The only guy who stands
out from the rest of the bunch is a snobby rich guy who
we're obviously not supposed to root for anyway. Come to
think of it, it almost felt as if we were supposed to
root for the insane killer - was this made in the southern
states or what's up?
Class Reunion Massacre might have had some potential but
in the end of the movie I was just kind of pissed off.
I absolutely hated the way that it seemed as if we were
supposed to think that the killers reasons were supposed
to justify what he had done. I mean, this movie might
speak out to ridiculously religious people, but for more
down to earth people, this just felt like some kind of
christian propaganda film. I have no idea why some people
like this, and if you're a protestant or catholic believer,
I highly advice you to stay away from this as it will
probably make you even more angry than it did to me.

A little blood splatter and a dagger in ones head but
nothing very messy.

A whole lot of muzak and bad sound effects. You can tell
that this was made when keyboards hadn't come too far in
evolution yet.

Upsetting slasher flick which seems to justify killing
people for being "sinners". Not entertaining either for
that matter and very dull overall. I would not recommend
this to anyone even if it was one of the first slashers
that came out from the US.
