A bunch of teenagers go up to ones cabin for a
weekend getaway. They soon find out about a boy
who ate his mother as a kid and used to live in
the forest by the cabin that they're staying at.
It doesn't take long before this boy returns,
now as a man, and starts to kill the teenagers
in various ways.
I vaguely remember surfing onto the production
company of Crinoline Head's site a couple of
years ago. They were also responsible for the
dreadful horror flick "Generation Ax" and I'm
guessing that none of these two movies were
very successful as this company seems to have
seized existing. Probably all for the better
though since Crinoline Head is just about as
bad as Generation Ax.
Crinoline Head tries to follow the slasher basics
but fails miserably at everything. First of all,
none of the teenagers are very attractive, nor
are they likeable. The hot jock guys are anything
but hot and they act and speak like a bunch of
really bitchy gay guys. The worst part of it all
has to be the fact that the body count doesn't
start until 55 minutes into the movie - and the
movie is only 80 minutes long!
What makes this movie even more terrible is that
the kills are horrendously cheap. I mean, let's
look at some of the kills here. One gets a
celery shoved down his throat, another one gets
drowned in poop, another one gets strangled with
his own sweater and so on. If this was meant to
be funny, it failed miserably, if it was meant
to be scary, it failed miserably, if it was
meant to be a really horrendous and barely
watchable slasher flick, well hey, then it actually
succeeded. Skip this one, it's not worth tracking
down even though it's been OOP for years.
Nothing worth mentioning.
Well, I'm not going to lie to you, the soundtrack
could have been worse and the simple theme
melody is actually pretty effective.
Horrendous slasher flick which probably very few
of you have even heard of. Well, there's a reason
for that so don't try to track this one down as
there is absolutely no reason to why you should
put yourself through this mess. Avoid.
