A couple of people
find themselves trapped inside a
cube and as they immediately start searching for a
way out the soon learn that the majority of the
rooms have traps. Outside the cube, a security guard
(or whatever he is) of the experiment starts to
realize that one of the people inside might be
innocent so he decides to head into the cube to
help whoever is left. This guy might be smart but
he just made the stupidest decision of his life.

Another movie about a bunch of people trapped inside
a Cube huh? Well it didn't work for the sequel in
which they changed just about nothing but this time
there's a twist to it and a deeper story which I
really enjoyed. This time the traps are cooler, the
characters are a bit less stupid and you don't have
to feel sorry for anyone that dies since they're
all prisoners. You see, the cube here is an experiment
they use on convicts so basically it goes against
the previous two movies but that didn't bother me
one bit.
It's obvious that this is the Cube movie with the
highest budget since not only the acting is better
than in the previous two movies but also the
directing is excellent. The movie is actually
supposed to be a prequel but I had a hard time
seeing that since the cube seems to be much more
advanced and not to mention how brilliantly
designed it is compared to the other two movies.
In the end I was really happy to see that we
finally got an explanation to the story of the
Cube and it's a pretty damn clever one.
No matter how good this was I truly hope that this
is the last Cube movie we get to see since there
is nothing more to explore in this series. We've
gotten all explanations and all the gore we can
crave so if this is the last movie I think it's a
pretty damn good way to finish the series. The
fact does however remain that the first Cube movie
is unbeatable. This movie couldn't have been better
than it was. Do not miss this one if you liked the
first one as it is far from as disappointing as
Cube 2: Hypercube. One of the best horror movies of
the year. Too bad that it's going straight to video.

I have no idea where to begin as there is so much.
We get a gory body explosion, a guy gets acid sprayed
on his body and melts in the goriest way possible
and we also get the classic original Cube trap where
a guy gets split in many pieces though still not as
brilliantly executed as it was in the first film.

It's lacking of a strong soundtrack but who cares?
It wasn't necessary with a strong soundtrack in this.

I didn't expect this to be very good actually
considering that I didn't like Cube 2 but it's
actually almost as good as the first Cube movie
so I will definitely have to recommend this flick.
Even if you haven't seen the first two movies,
check this one out, it's one of the best horror
flicks you'll see this year.
