A director wakes up in his house only to find himself
tied to the wall and his wife tied up by the piano
with strings from the roof. In front of the director
stands a man. At first the director doesn't realize who
the person in front of him is but after a while he
remembers that he used him as an extra in a couple of
his flicks. Well, the man has come to take revenge,
on what? Well you'll just have to see.

Cut is the last movie I watch from the Three... Extremes
movie and it sure is a good way to end the anthology.
Cut is the South Korean contribution to the movie and
clearly the best and most original out of the three
movies. Cut is one of those movies that really makes
you think; "what would I have done if I was in that
exact same situation?" and that kind of freaks one out.
This is not only a great and original movie, it's also
more of a horror movie than Dumplings and The Box were
even if The Box at least had hints of being a horror
movie. Oh and if you were curious of the title, it's
based on the fact that the key person is a director.

Speaking of directors, Park Chan-wook has directed this
and I can honestly say that it's not often that you
stumble onto a flick which is so dependent of the
directing like this is. This script could have gone
straight to hell if it would've been made by the
wrong director. Luckily Mr. Chan-wook really shows us
that he's one hell of a director. It's simply
excellent, so well executed and everything. Almost
flawless. The acting is also really good and all
of these actors are pretty big in South Korea.

However, there are a couple of things that I did not
like about the movie. I won't name all of them now
but I can tell you that I did not understand anything
towards the ending so if anyone got what was going
on there, please could you send me a mail or something
as I would really like to know. Other than that,
Cut is a really good flick and it's a shame that
it's not longer than 50 minutes because I'm pretty
sure that I could've taken another 40 minutes of
this flick. Anyway, check this one out, this one was
really something out of the ordinary.

We get a gory neck bite and a couple of chopped off
fingers. I can't tell you more than that or I would
be spoiling the movie for you.

The movie opens with beautiful piano music and then
kicks in with a little orchestra music, everything
blends very nicely together and sets the perfect mood
for this bizarre little flick.

Since this is the final segment I watch from the movie
"Three... Extremes" I will have to say that out of the
three movies, this is the best one. It's a very bizarre
and twisted movie which will make you think. I will
definitely say that "Three... Extremes" is one of the
best and most obscure anthology movies I've ever seen,
I suggest that you check it out.
