Halloween is coming up and in Hobb's Grove, the team of a horror themed
amusement park are busy with the preparations. What the students that
help getting the park ready for Halloween don't know is that there's an
evil that lurks in the woods around Hobb's Grove. Soon the bodies start
piling up and the fear increase rapidly.

Dark Walker is the latest release from Shadow Entertainment. I'm guessing
that their last release "Bleed" was a big success since the cover for Dark
Walker is pretty much the same only with a different weapon. Coming from
Shadow Ent. I knew that I wouldn't like this movie too much, they have
really managed to release the worst low budget movies ever on DVD. This
is clearly their best release so far even if it's a bad movie. The scarecrow
looking zombie looks a lot like the scarecrow used in the movie entitled,
originally enough, "Scarecrow", only this didn't have a cool plot or a hot cast.

I can't even explain how bad the acting was, it was like, incredibly bad,
the actors acted like they had never seen a camera before and I'm happy
that they decided to kill the worst actress of first in the movie so we
didn't have to suffer her unoriginal and annoying comments for any longer
that we did. Danny Draven isn't a very talented director, I actually think
that he did a better job directing Deathbed, and even that wasn't very well
directed. I know I shouldn't complain about the short running time of ALL
Dravens films since they're usually not that good anyway, but I wish he would
try to cross the 90min mark at least one time.

It seems as if Draven is a big fan of TCM as there is one scene where the
dark walker holds a chainsaw up in the air, just like in TCM, and he even
does a little twirl for us. I thought it was nice to see some teens in a
slasher flick again, too bad it wasn't a very good one. Oh and I also have
many complaints on the gore but you'll have to read that in the gore section
of the review, it was really quite ridiculous. Basically, this didn't put
me to sleep and there was something in it that I liked so I'll just settle
with giving it two stars.

As I said, this was incredibly stupid. All we got was a lot of blood splattered
on a wall all the time, and get this, the blood was slimy! I don't know what
kind of alien students these were but my blood sure isn’t slimy, better special
FX next time Draven!

The cheesy background music doesn't lift the movie at all, but there was a
very weird scene where I knew that the zombie scarecrow would jump out but
still I jumped, very weird experience.

Probably worth checking out but don't expect anything from it, it's pretty
much the average Danny Draven flick. Everything doesn't hold together in
the end either, the last 3 seconds made no sense at all to me, I guess it
was supposed to be some twist ending but what the heck, I for one would like
to understand the twists.
