A young girl is watering her flower when she
suddenly has a heart attack and dies. She soon
wakes up in a black and white world with her
parents upset to see their dead girl walking.
Dead people should be dead so they try to kill
her with all kinds of methods - but she just
won't die. Why is this happening to her?

Here's a riddle for you: What's more dull than
an eventless Japanese horror drama? Answer: An
eventless Japanese horror drama in black and
white. This was just sad. The story revolves
around a girl who just can't seem to die and
with a hateful family who wants nothing more but
to see her die for real, it's not easy being a
dead girl walking.

This movie is part of the Hideshi Hino hexalogy
which I'm quickly growing to hate. I've previously
seen "The Boy From Hell" from this series of short
movies, which was also abysmal so I'm having some
serious doubts about whether to check out any more
movies from this hexalogy or not.

As I said, the story is incredibly dull and the
movie is in black and white but to make things
just as bad as possible, there is also close to
no dialogue in this movie and with that being
said, I really hope that you stay away from this
tragic waste of time. Dead Girl Walking is more
dead than the girl in this movie will ever be
so don't bother.

Since all the gore is in black and white, it never
really feels gory even if we get slit throats and
knifes in eyes and an arm cut off.

Strange score which feels very Japanese with
unmelodic piano music and weird bells accompanied
with some miserably bad violin music.

This wasn't just a bad movie, this was an absolutely
atrocious movie. I felt like I was watching a poor
art-movie by some student who was failing class -
at least he would after this film. Avoid this black
and white bore like the plague!
