Alex's parents were brutally murdered by a masked
killer when he was only a kid. A couple of years
later, he's still traumatized and is suffering
from horrible nightmares. He soon starts to
believe that the killer is back to finish what
he once started, but is it just a dream or could
it actually be reality?

Yaaaaawn! Was this a snoozer or what? This so
called slasher flick had quite a lot of potential
with an original story and pretty good concept.
Unfortunately, the movie never really gets going.
The first hour mainly consists of dream sequences
and some very dull dialogues and the rest of the
movie is a complete anticlimax and a very
predictable one as well. There are only five REAL
death scenes in the movie which of three are by
shotgun, one is by knife and one is off screen
so calling this a slasher feels pretty fake.

The acting is very average and I never really
grew to like Alex so I never really cared if he
died or not. The directing is all right but I
always find it annoying when you are able to
see the microphone at the top of the screen, it
looks very unprofessional. I found myself
thinking that this would be the perfect slasher
movie for older women who get scared easily
since the focus lies on the drama rather than
the horror through the entire flick and the
"twist" ending is very "Days of our Lives".

Every time you look up a movie on the IMDB and
the rating is below 3/10 and you know that you
have to watch the entire movie you do get kind
of depressed. Luckily, I usually tend to disagree
with the mainstream audience when it comes to
horror flicks, but when it comes to Deadly
Dreams, I couldn't agree more with that rating.
This movie might very well put you right to
sleep and should be perfect for people who suffer
from insomnia so if you are one of those people,
do not miss this one.

Nothing really worth mentioning except for when
a guy gets a knife through his stomach.

Very basic, you can easily tell that they didn't
spend too much time working on the score for
this flick.

Disappointing slasher flick with an extremely low
body count. It does show some potential but
unfortunately, most of you will probably have
fallen asleep before you see the potential in
the story. It's slow, it's confusing and it will
bore you to sleep.
