Martin and
Helena run into a bunch of zombies in the middle of
the country and when Martin turns into a zombie himself, Helena
finds herself all alone fighting against flesh eating zombies.
She seeks help from a local farmer but will he be able to help
her survive this living dead nightmare?

Dead Meat tries to be this years Shaun Of The Dead as it has
the same kind of silly black humour and stupid flesh eating
zombies. Unfortunately, the silly humour is hardly funny and
the stupid zombies are ridiculous, seriously, a zombie in a
wheelchair? Give me a break. So when Shaun Of The Dead felt
fresh and exciting, Dead Meat just feels like a bad low budget
rip-off without any brains. Here's a list of reasons to why
this didn't work as well as Shaun Of The Dead.
There are only two characters to follow which of neither of
them are very interesting. The humour is far from funny. There's
absolutely no story at all. The directing is terrible. So is
the acting. The movie's totally predictable. The soundtrack is
abysmal. The gore is exaggerated. Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.
So what does that leave us with? Well, not a lot really. I can
see what the filmmakers where trying to do here but it just
doesn't work. The movie never gets anywhere and the story is
as you might have all ready understood, its biggest problem,
you could actually skip over 20 minutes anywhere in the movie
without missing anything at all. However, the fact that it
looks like a documentary doesn't exactly help either.
What I reacted to the most was how we never even got to know
the two characters that existed, all we get to know about them
is that they are good at fighting zombies. As I mentioned in
my "list of complaints", the acting is terrible, even if they
don't have very difficult dialogues to deliver but when the
woman playing Helena says "Die bitch!", I didn't know whether
I should laugh or cry. To summarize this movie I would have to
say that this is a bad mixture of Blair Witch Project and
Shaun Of The Dead which fails in almost every aspect.

This was pretty gory actually, we get an eye pulled out, some
gory flesh wounds, a lot of blood splatter, a gory impalement,
a shovel in head, a decapitation and a whole lot more. This one
was clearly made for gorehounds.

I'll be honest with you, I hated the soundtrack. It sounds
like it was made with the first Cakewalk Midi program ever
made. Seriously, it's awful.

Recently it seems as if there have been too many awful horror
flicks and not enough decent ones. This saddens me as I don't
enjoy giving bad reviews but I always have to be honest and
I honestly think that this movie was rubbish. If you haven't
seen Shaun Of The Dead yet, check that out instead of this
as this is not worth your time.
