Two people at random who live in a building with 44
floors are going to the bottom floor in an elevator.
On one floor the elevator stops but there's no one
outside. All of a sudden a man covered in blood comes
running. Apparently he's the elevator control man.
He claims that a monster was chasing him and that they
have to go up in order to survive. Well panic strikes
out among the three and panic is never good,
especially not in an elevator.

From the director of Cube, Vincenzo Natali, comes
this freaky little movie. Elevated is a short film
but manages to create so much suspense in just 15
minutes that it will astound you. It's not a special
story, it's the way that it's been executed. I mean,
from the moment that the first woman gets into the
elevator we're stuck. It's quite obvious that he
got the idea for Cube when he made this film (or
perhaps it was the other way around) because the two
films have very much in common. And he also does seem
very fascinated by cubes.

The movie has been casted brilliantly. The actors
manage to get in character quickly and we're attached
to the characters within just a couple of minutes.
This is just pure brilliance. All of these people
were actually also in Vincenzo's more famous movie
"Cypher". I guess he must've liked working with these
people. No surprise, they are great actors. The
directing is as I said before, excellent. It's simply
flawless, everything is there.

You might think that this is a movie that could've
been made by anyone, it's a movie about people in an
elevator for crying out loud. Well, you have to see
this one for yourselves to realize how spectacularly
brilliant this is. Almost as good, if not as good as
Cube. I highly recommend this short but oh so
suspenseful horror thriller. It's simply brilliant.

Not much here, a guy does get squashed though in
a pretty gory way. Some bloody stabbings also occur.

This just proves the simplicity of the movie. There
is no atmospheric music what so ever, it's just
a whole lot of elevator muzak. Well it works!

This movie has taken me by surprise. I highly advice
that you get your hands of a copy of this immediately.
It's a short but amazing film and I promise you that
you will not regret checking this out. Even if you
hate it, which you won't, it's still only 20 minutes
of your life.
