A couple of
friends decide to encounter ghosts late on
night with the spells that they have found in a book. At
first everyone is anxious to see the ghosts but when the
game is over, the ghosts remain. Unfortunately for them,
the spirits are now mad and will do anything to see the
young friends dead.

When the brilliant horror flick The Eye was released three
years ago I was almost certain that there wouldn't be a
sequel. 2 years later I discovered that I had been wrong
when the relatively entertaining sequel The Eye 2 was
released. Now, the Pang brothers have skipped making sequel
number 3-9 and went straight on with making The Eye 10.
The story is very different from the previous two movies
and this time they've decided to do a teen horror flick
instead with some comic relief.
While it doesn't live up to the original, I was surprised
to see that it wasn't as bad as I had expected it to be,
it's actually slightly better than The Eye 2. The movie is
always interesting and it was actually nice to see a
couple of scenes from the original movie repeat themselves
here. The movie managed to scare the hell out of me a
couple of times. The comic relief was also a nice touch
since the tension is high at many times in the movie.
Once again the Pang brothers have managed to impress us
with their directing skills. The photography is beautiful
and the movie is cleverly directed. The acting is also
really good, especially considering that these are all
relatively unknown actors, at least for the rest of the
world. I think that The Eye 10 is a great way to end this
trilogy but if the Pang brothers decide to make another
one I might have to refuse to see it.
As of lately I have been very disappointed with Asian
horror movies since they all seem to be the same. The
Eye 10 dares to be different and in the end it comes out
as one of the best Asian horror movies this year. If you
liked the first one, skip the second one and watch this
one instead, it's actually better than one would expect.

No real gore in here.

The soundtrack is pretty much the same as the one we
got in the first two movies with heavy drums and some
funny sounding music along with atmosphere setting bass.

One of the best Asian horror flicks this year. A great
way to end The Eye trilogy. Even if you didn't like the
relatively good sequel to The Eye, be sure to check this
one out, it's actually pretty good.
