Holy Angel School was shut down after a big fire took place. Now, a couple
of years later, a film team has decided to make a documentary about the
incident together with the four surviving girls from the fire. But after
only one day they get an uninvited guest. Someone in a black Holy Angel
School coat is killing the film team and everyone that comes near the school.

The descriptions of this movie that I had heard before watching it made
it out to be some satanic cult or witch horrormovie. But really, it's just
another teen slasher. It's a pretty good one though. It has a very high
bodycount though there isn't a lot of gore since the killers favourite
choice of weapon is a gun (odd for a slasher huh). The film is half
British and half Canadian and I thought it was nice to have a wild mixture
between strong British accent and regular American accent. One of the
better slashers released recently.
The acting is really a mixed bag, some of the actors do an amazing job,
Elly Fairman was the one who impressed me the most with her bitchy
attitude as an executive producer. Esme Eliot who was given the lead
in this movie was one of the worse actors as she has a hard time keeping
in pace with the movie and she's not exactly brilliant at crying either.
The opening scene could have been so excellent if only Esme Eliot had
done a good job looking sad but you never got the impression that she
felt really hurt. The directing is good and looks above average DTV movies
but it's obvious that this would never have went on theatres.
Fallen Angels is pretty predictable and I thought that the nigh watching
goggles were unnecessary and made the killer look less creepy. The chase
scenes are also pretty unfascinating since the killer often runs after
the victims. I like it when the killer takes his time chasing the victims,
he shouldn't be able to catch them right away. There are also a lot of
clichés and I still don't get why they wore walkie-talkies or where they
got them from. Way above my expectations though so I'm satisfied.

A lot of non gory stabbings and knife impalings, however gory that
might sound. The killer mainly uses a gun to off his victims.

We get rock music, pop music and some piano music. Nothing impressive but
on the other hand I don't think that a better soundtrack would have
helped the movie anyway so it does the trick.

Above average DTV material. Quite good for slasherfans who still hasn't
lost interest in the screamesque slasherwave. I'm just happy to see
that movies like this still get distribution so I suggest that you
check it out, but only if you like slashers.
