A young boy gets bullied in school for being a
vegetarian. He swears to return in thirteen years
to take his revenge on everyone who had been mean
to him. Thirteen years later he's back. He meets
Merv, a horror movie fanatic, who helps him become
a new slasher icon. He also gets a little help
from Merv's friend Onkey but after a while things
start going out of hand... can Merv and Onkey
stop the killing machine that they've created?

This is yet another awesome horror movie which hasn't
found distribution yet. Though it's not actually
a horror movie, this one is 110% horror comedy. I can
only hope that Lions Gate will pick this one up.
It's goofy, entertaining and hilariously funny!
Some of the jokes in the movie had me laughing for
maybe five minutes. This is not very common as
horror comedies are often trying to be funny but
just end up stupid and worthless. This actually
manages to mix the two genres in a natural way.
I especially love it when Merv is watching horror
movies because the comments that we hear from the
movies are hilarious, for example there's this one
scene where Merv is watching a horror flick and
you can hear a girl saying "I will teach you not
to come into my house when I'm TOUCHING myself!"
followed by a loud scream. Now that's gold.

The movie was only shot on a budget of $60,000
dollars and by all means, you can tell that it's
a very low budget movie but it's been edited so
brilliantly that it looks really good. I got a
raw DVD screener of the movie and even if it
didn't look finished, I can imagine how excellent
the released DVD will look like. The directing
is as you might understand, really good (if you
consider the budget that is). The acting is also,
to my big surprise, excellent. I thought that
this was a no-budget movie made by a couple of
friends but these people actually seem like
they're real actors so I must've been wrong there.

Many people like to compare this to the recent
UK horror spoof called "Shaun Of The Dead". Why!?
They have like nothing in common, except for
the fact that they're both horror comedies from
the UK. I don't necessarily think that a fan of
Shaun Of The Dead has to like this and the other
way around as the humour is very different in the
two movies. I didn't laugh as hard as I did in
this one when I watched Shaun so if you're looking
for a funny horror spoof, this is definitely
the one you should be checking out!

A guy is split in half and there are some gory
slashings as well but it's all very goofy.

We get some piano music, some pop music and some
rock music but my personally favourite was the
remake of the 80's pop song "Maniac". That song
made the entire movie worth watching.

When this arrived in my mailbox I was a bit
sceptical. I had read a few positive reviews for
it but the poster did look a bit cheesy. I decided
not to judge the movie by the poster and sat down
to watch it and hey, what do you know, it turned
out to be really funny. Check this out when it
gets released, if it ever is.
