Recently people have disappeared mysteriously and
then the remains have been found near an old church.
What most people don't know is that hundreds of
years ago, the same church was terrorized by giant
flesh-eating flying monsters and some recent earth
quakes have awoken them again to terrorize the town.
Will anyone be able to stop them or are they back
for good this time?

So no one expected this to be good right? I'd be
chocked if anyone did. Has anyone seen the old 70's
flick with the same title? If so, you've basically
seen this one except for the fact that this one has
CIA agents in it. However, I think we could have
managed brilliantly without the CIA agents, and
that also goes for the CGI effects. How is it
possible that the creatures from the 70s flick looked
better than in a flick from 2004? The creatures look
absolutely terrible and I'm pretty sure that there
wasn't much effort put into them. There are times
that the creatures even seem to be floating on the
screen. How terrible is that?

Jim Wynorski, the director of many recent horror
catastrophes managed to do it once again. The movie
does not look like it was made in 2004, it looks
like a no budget horror flick from the early 80's,
and that's being nice. The actors help in any way
that they can to make this movie even more painful
for us to watch. It's not funny bad, it's just
really really bad since they're all overacting as
much as they can. Hello? This is not supposed to
be a shakespeare play, would someone please inform
the cast that it's not necessary to dramatize
every single dialogue.

Sci-Fi's creature features just went from bad to
worse. They used to at least be watchable and
sometimes even quite entertaining but Gargoyles
just set a new low for Sci-Fi channels horror
flicks. Maybe they should just buy no budget
independent flicks, they are usually better than
this rubbish. If you're a fan of creature features,
go rent something else, Boa vs. Python was more
entertaining than this, and that does not tell
you much. Gargoyles is clearly one of Sci-Fi
channels worst movies produced so far. Take my
advice skip this one, it's simply not worth it.

Even if there is some minor gore in this film I
won't mention it as if it's all poorly made and
looks very unrealistic.

This has got to be the worst thing about the
entire movie. The soundtrack wasn't just terrible,
it was also really bad sound quality, which just
added to the whole lowbudget 80's horror flick
feel that the movie seemed to go for.

Most of you probably realized that this is something
that you should stay away from as soon as you heard
the title or saw the DVD cover but for those of you
who didn't, take my advice, stay away from this.
This is one of the worst Sci-Fi productions to this
date and I really hope that they'll shape up again
soon or they're going to go bankrupt.
