A couple of giant radioactive flesh eating ants have managed to
sneak into a building on a Saturday afternoon. They start feeding
on the sugar but when they're out of that they move onto the
people working in the building.

Glass Trap might be the stupidest creature feature ever to get
produced. The story is so ridiculous and the dialogues are
pathetic. Seriously, the story revolves around a couple of
giant rubber/poorly CG animated killer ants who sneak into a
building by hiding in what looks like approximately five small
plants. Did they actually think that we would buy that 50 giant
ants would be able to hide in 5 small plants? Anyway, when the
ants start attacking people we rarely actually see them kill
their victims, all we get to see is either some blood splattered
on a wall or someone getting pulled away off screen by the ants.
Come on? Arachnia had better effects for crying out loud!

The acting might not be terrible but the characters are. First
we have the FBI agent who faints every single time she sees a
dead body, then we have the intelligent assistant who falls in
love with the cleaning guy (who by the way was just released
from prison), then we have the bitchy boss who's obviously going
to get killed halfway through the movie (because all characters
you're meant to dislike in these kind of movies always die) and
finally we have a burglar who wants some secret files from the
company. The directing is pretty average and there's really
nothing about the movie that catches your interest.

This is one of those movies where you don't know whether you
should laugh or cry, I laughed during most of the movie. It
wouldn't surprise me if this was originally meant to be a
Sci-Fi TV premier but got sent direct to video instead. I've
seen a lot of abysmal creature features in my days but this
one really stands out in the meaning of awfulness. The Glass
Trap will most likely not be able to trap your interest no
matter how scared of ants you are. I can almost guarantee
actually that anyone who was afraid of ants before watching
this movie will be cured by the laughter. I will never be able
to look at ants the same way again.

We get a gory skeleton prop which they use for two deaths.

Really cheesy ambient music fills most of this flicks soundtrack
but we also get some trash metal and the average creature feature
"suspense" music.

Spend your money on something else. I thought Marabunta: Killer
Ants was bad but this was actually even worse! The only reason
that I'm giving it a rating of one was because it made me
laugh so badly that I had to run to the bathroom. This is
really a very bad movie, so do avoid it.
