Four very different individuals audition for the
part as Jesus in an upcoming movie but when none
of the get the part they get the, for the time
being, brilliant idea to go to Seattle to audition
for Jesus Christ Superstar. On the way there they
get stuck in a small village where all things
take a very wrong turn.

Let's see now. We have a quotation from Troma Studios
saying that this movie is "BRILLIANT" on the DVD
sleeve which is also very cheesy and looks as if
it was printed from someone’s home computer. Things
are not looking good for this movie and the title
doesn't exactly give us great expectations for the
movie either. My first surprise was that the movie
looked like a REAL movie, not like some homemade
lowbudget movie, it actually looked as if someone
paid money to get this film produced. My second
impression was that this was actually quite a funny
movie. It doesn't take long before you realise that
you are in for a very interesting movie.
You can't help wondering why this movie looks so
good. The directing was really impressing and it
actually looks better than most DTV flicks do
these days. The acting is also way above average
for a lowbudget flick like this. These actors
really get into character and they're just so
special that you can't help loving them.
This is a very uplifting movie and when it's
done you just feel very happy and satisfied.
Still it's a bit too unserious for me, while
Psycho Beach Party had the same kind of humour,
this still had a bit too many sex jokes for
my taste. Could've been better but this was
really beyond my expectations and I think it
will be interesting to see what the Von Piglet
Sisters will create next.

Does not live up to its title that's for sure.
A lot of bloodsplatter and many fake looking
body parts but everything looks very fake and
in the end this doesn't come out very gory at all.

Wow! They've really managed to catch that retro
feeling in here. A lot of rock music that sounds
very 70's, some guitar music, some musical music,
some Turkish sounding music and let's not forget
about the awesome church singer, she was excellent.

Don't let the sleeve and cheesy feeling surrounding
this movie fool you. It might be a cheesy movie but
I really dislike Troma movies and I can tell you
this much; this has a lot more class than any Troma
movies do. If you're looking for something different
but still entertaining, you might want to try
this one out.
