This movie is only 53 minutes if you exclude the opening titles and end
titles but that's not necessarily a bad thing. There are many slashers that
get sequels these days and I was hoping this one would get one as well for
I think that a movie like this deserves one! The story is simple but works
well, the dialogue and jokes are funny and gives you many giggles and laughs
which not many horror movies succeed to do. At first I thought that the
granny mask would be cheesy but I ended up thinking it was totally cool.
The acting is above average if you ask me, everyone really get into role
and they do it well as hell. The directing on the other hand could be better,
but considering that this is a 0 budget movie, this movie manages to look
surprisingly good. The camera angles are almost always still and it kind of
looks as if the camera has just been put on a table or something to keep it
from shaking. Some scenes turned out to be very unbelievable as well, for
example the scene where granny pops out from nowhere in the forest scene.
I didn't expect anything from this movie at all, considering almost all
other Dead Alive releases suck ass, but I ended up liking this more than
most recent slashers. It's a shame that it wasn't longer though, I think
that they could have extended it with at least some nude shower scene or
perhaps a sex scene, that always takes up running time... Now, I hope that
the producers and directors of this movie read this review so that they
can put some money together, perhaps some more effort and make a sequel
for this entertaining little slasher, hell, Bloody Murder got one, I think
it's time for us to get a Granny 2! Oh, and please, if you make a sequel,
make the ending understandable and don't have a double twist!

Nothing spectacular but we do get some... An axe in the head, some
bloody,
but very cheesy, knife stabbings and some sticks in the eyes. Oh, and then
there's all the blood running from everyone’s mouths.

Oh my god what a cool soundtrack, the main theme is incredibly good,
though
it's a bit overused as that is almost the only soundtrack in the movie, you
can also hear it in the trailer, which is available for download in the
gallery.
We do get some cool eerie music and some organ as well though, which is always
nice.

Might be a bit hard to track down if you live in the US, but I believe
it's
out on DVD in USA by Dead Alive, also available in the UK, Sweden, and France
as far as I know. I think that if you get the chance to watch this, you should
definitely take it, I'm thinking of buying a copy of all releases that this
movie has, but then again, I have no money.
