A couple of students find themselves locked inside an old
mental institution in the middle of the night. What they
don't know is that the institution was shut down since a
crazy doctor who worked there killed all of his patients in
one night. Well, tonight, the killing will start again as
a mysterious killer is in there with them.

Well I don't think that anyone was happy about this sequel
since Horror 101 was far from good, at most it was like a
mildly entertaining Goosebumps episode. Horror 102 starts
with a girl covered in blood which leads me to look at the
cover once again to see the rating for this flick and just
as I suspected, PG-13, just like the first movie. Still, it
was appreciated to see at least a little blood, after all,
that's what teen slashers are all about. Anyhow, this was
still a complete waste of time. I mean, Anchor Bay didn't
even have enough faith in it to make a proper DVD release
for it. All it got was the second side of a double feature
DVD containing this and two other awful DTV flicks, one being
Horror 101 (which has all ready been released so why did they
release that again?).

The acting is abysmal, naturally. Since I'm from Sweden I
was actually rather offended to see that they had thrown
in a stereotypical Swedish exchange student in the movie.
Seriously, not all Swedish chicks are blonde, blue-eyed and
full of witchcraft hokus pokus. Anyway, the directing is
pretty all right, just like in the first movie. I'm
suspecting that this had a lower budget than the first
movie though as this had the cheaper kind of widescreen
presentation. The only thing I really liked about the first
movie was the fact that it felt kind of original, well
that was all lost in this one, it's a free standing sequel
in other words so everything seems to be just a little
worse than in the first flick.

Well it was no surprise that I hated this flick since I
didn't like the first one too much either. It's actually
rather sad to see that people waste a lot of time on
terrible scripts, how hard can it be to come up with a
relatively original horror concept? I mean, I've got a
bunch of them myself. The story is terrible and it's all
just a big waste of time so skip this one. Even if you
liked the first flick, I seriously doubt that you will
be liking this as the two movies have absolutely no
connection what so ever.

A couple of bloody bruises and a bashed in face, I guess
it's kind of gory for being PG-13.

Terribly cheesy piano music, enough said.

The first one was bad, this was worse. Endgame I hope,
we do not need a Horror 103, just like we didn't need
this. Even if you liked the first one you will not be
enjoying this so skip this one for your own sake.
