Taking place at a hospital full of intrigues,
the doctors get a patient who's dripping green
goo. What they don't know is that the green
goo is a deadly decease that will take over
people's bodies. It's not really a decease as
it takes over your mind and forces you to do
things against your will. Is there any way to
stop the green goo or is the hospital doomed.

After just having seen Premonition, the second
movie in the J-horror series, I couldn't wait
to sit back and enjoy the first one. Luckily,
this was actually just as good as Premonition
though in a very different way. Infection is
really such a strange movie. I mean, green
killer goo, who would have guessed? At first
sight the story might feel very ludicrous but
when it's all explained it doesn't seem too
unbelievable anymore even if the end twist has
been used numerous times.

The movie, unlike Premonition does however
suffer from being too slow at times. It's
actually rather dull the first 40 minutes
or so until the horror begins. This leads me
to suspect that many people might shut it
off after a while due to lack of patience.
If you do make it through the first half
of the movie though, I can promise you that
you are in for a crazy wild ride. However,
when I said that this is a very strange and
different movie, I still have to point out that
it's far from as original as Premonition. It
borrows a lot of things from The Grudge and
other less known Japanese horror flicks like
Uzumaki and Hypnosis. It's not unoriginal
but it is pretty predictable as we've seen
these kind of movies before.

Infection is still yet another great Jap
horror flick and I definitely recommend that
you check it out as soon as you get the
chance. It's a shame that Lions Gate didn't
do theatrical on these movies as they clearly
deserve it. Sadly, too many Americans are
simply too lazy or too stupid to want to see
a subtitled movie, no offence but you can't
tell me I'm wrong on this one. Try to get
past the first forty minutes and I promise
you that it'll be worth it.

We get a lot of needle stabs, some burnt
hands, a couple of gory bodies but still this
wouldn't upset anyone.

The score is what makes this movie score. It's
streaky violins that will cut right through
you along with loud bass to create just the
right atmosphere.

The J-horror series continue to amaze me, this
movie was just as good as Premonition and I'm
just thrilled to see that Japan is back on
track. Don't wait until Lions Gate releases
these flicks, go buy them on cdjapan.com now,
they're worth it believe me.
