A group of
animal activists travel to a remote
island to uncover the truth about a military
experiment called "Project Carnivore". What they
don't know is that the island is now crawling
with giant flesh-eating monsters and it seems as
if there is no fighting them. Will they get off
the island in time or will they all become
reptile food?

It's a family vacation video with cheap CGI-effects
inserted into a couple of frames here and there,
that's what this is. Komodo vs Cobra has got to
be one of the worst creature features ever made
and it's such a shame because both Komodo and
King Cobra had decent production values and were
relativaly entertaining. This movie has none of
those qualities. And furthermore, the versus thing
is just ridiculous. Why would a king cobra attack
a komodo dragon? A boa vs a python? Sure, but a
cobra fighting a giant lizard? Come on! I'm pretty
sure that the komodo is from the low-budget horror
flick "The Curse Of The Komodo" though.
Now, Boa Vs Python was an atrocious movie but it
was still a whole lot more entertaining than this.
The plot is completely ludicrous and it's not just
a giant cobra and a giant lizard on the island.
No this island is crawling with giant creatures
of all kinds. Sure the concept was horrible to
begin with but did they really have to make it
even worse? The acting is ridiculously bad and
the most annoying characters die. The few characters
that you actually kind of like, die pretty early
on in the movie.
CineTel Film's creature features usually aren't
that great but for the Sci-Fi channel to release
this junk is just beyond me. This is one of the
worst movies that I've seen this year and I highly
doubt that it will live up to fans of the original
movies expectations. If I have to sit through
another creature vs creature flick, I might just
kill myself. Do not, I repeat, do not check this
movie out as it will just make you upset - I mean,
the makers of this movie clearly didn't care about
the fan base of these kind of movies at all. If
you're going to make a creature feature with a
low budget, at least put some effort into it.

The creatures munch away on some people but there's
nothing very graphical to mention here.

Ridiculously bad score. Clearly no one bothered
putting any effort into this either, but on the
other hand - who can blame them.

It saddens me to see just how low some companies
will go to make a couple of quick bucks. Sure,
creature features do sell but unless companies
start putting some effort into them, no one will
want to see them anymore. This was just excruciating.
Avoid it like the plague.
