Leslie was horribly burnt in an accident as a child
and killed his parents for letting that happen to
him. He grows up without any friends and kills off
people at random whenever he feels like it. Will
anyone be able to stop Leslie or will his rage keep
on taking innocent victims?

Massacre Up North starts out with a certain potential.
The opening scene shows a couple getting killed by a
masked killer so I immediately think that I'm in for
a low budget but entertaining slasher flick. Well, it
turns out that I was wrong. The movie quickly turns
into a slow paced drama which shows us the life of a
serial killer and while most serial killer flicks try
to make us root for the killer - Leslie is such a
weird character that you almost feel like they didn't
even try to make us root for him.

If Ron Jeremy were to direct a horror flick in which
he wasn't allowed to have any full nudity in, this is
probably what the result would be. We get lots of
cheesy sex scenes but the camera angles manage to
avoid showing us the full nudity (but not by far).
The actors seem to be ex-porno stars even though
they're anything but attractive, and they are just
some of the worst actors ever. The movie looks very
cheap and it's no surprise that this was only
released on VHS.

The movie is filled with plot holes and goofs and after
a long day of work, I really don't feel like spending
any more time on reviewing this flick. This movie
just bummed me out. If you're looking for a slasher
flick, look elsewhere, this is more of a very slow
and very dull serial killer flick which never goes
anywhere even though it desperately tries to do
something original.

The box-art may state that it's gory but all we get
is a lot of blood splatter.

Cheesy score, nothing worth mentioning.

Depressingly bad slasher flick which follows the life
of a very dull serial killer. Even though the movie
wants to be original, it fails miserably and comes out
as a bad Ted Bundy or Dahmer knock-off. That's all I
have to say, this is just not worth your time.
