A cop stumbles onto a man who's just about to kill
a young woman with a meat cleaver. The cop naturally
shoots him and finds to his surprise that the
woman has a horribly disfigured face. He decides
to take care of her, but soon he starts to realize
that this woman, this Jenifer as she's called, might
be anything but human.

Dario Argento's addition to this disastrous TV-show
is quite the bad one but at least we're back on
track here in one way since this movie actually is
a horror movie, which is more than what could be
said for Tobe Hoopers movie "Dance Of The Dead" last
week. So far, the only director who has actually
provided us with a really good movie is Don
Coscarelli, who's probably the least famous out of
the four directors so far. It just seems as if these
bigger directors didn't put much effort into it and
just like with last weeks movie, it really looks
like a rushed project.
Jenifer is an incredibly weak story and also very
predictable. You can tell how it's going to end
after 5 minutes. I do think that Jenifer has the
weakest story so far actually and as if that wasn't
enough, this one is also the longest out of the
four movies so far. Maybe if Dario Argento would
have skipped one or two of the unnecessary sex
scenes, this would've been slightly tighter but
it still would have been a terrible movie. I just
can't believe that this is what these directors
want to be connected to.
A second season of this TV-show is all ready in
planning but if this series doesn't pick up the
pace soon, I think that it will lose a whole lot
of its core audience. There's no way that true
horror fans can actually like this series anymore
and I'm honestly about to give up on it myself but
I figured that I might as well watch this season
to its bitter end. Let's just pray that the next
episode will be better than this.

We get some intestines, not very gory, at least not
considering that Argento directed this.

The strings sound as if they were copied right out
of "Psycho" and slightly edited. It's pretty good
but it doesn't set any kind of atmosphere.

Jenifer failed to impress me and this series is now
officially a bad TV-show in my opinion. I really
hope that it can pick up the pace and give us a
better, at least a decent horror movie next week
because this story just made me want to shut my
television off. This was bad Argento! I'm disappointed.
