Claire
returns to the village that she grew up in, after many
years as a teacher in a big city. When her friend, who was
also a teacher, dies, she decides to stay and take over her
friend's class. But when she starts seeing a little boy in a
yellow raincoat, memories start to come back. When Claire was
only a child, she and her friends followed a little boy called
Milo to his house, and before they knew it, one of their friends
was dead. Claire believes that Milo is back to seek revenge
on the friends even though no one else does.

Let me start by saying that I had no idea that this was going
to be a slasher. Being the slasherfan that I am, I was very
happy to watch the killer opening and I was hoping for a
Valentine style slasher. What I got was something that felt
like a Goosebumps episode, you know, that horrorserie for
kids. I had no expectations for this what so ever, but if a
movie has a good opening scene, your expectations grow quickly.
The acting is the best thing in this movie, the entire cast
works pretty well, except for Claire (Jennifer Jostyn), which
was surprising as she has been in many famous films before
and she was also the main actress. The directing is all right,
doesn't look too low budget, but there's nothing here that
we haven’t experienced a million times before.
If there would have been more girls in the beginning (so that
there would have been a higher bodycount), and if Milo was
grown up in the rest of the movie, this might have been ok.
Well, it was descent for the first 50 minutes, but then it
just gets predictable and cheesy, I'm talking about Troll 2
cheesy. Considering that this was made in 1998, it doesn't
manage to copy Scream as much as the other slashers made at
that time did and I thought it deserved one star for the
opening aswell.

There's
an ultra low bodycount, half of the killings are
off screen, and not to mention that there is hardly any
blood at all in this movie. Don't watch this for the gore.

A
somewhat Halloween sounding track plays over and over
again, and even if the Halloween theme is repetitive, this
is by far worse, it only has four tones for crying out loud.

Milo had a killer opening, too bad that
the movie itself
didn't live up to it at all. Predictable and slow is what
this poor excuse for a slasher is and I would never in my
life recommend anyone to see this, not even if it goes on TV.
