A group of
terrorists break into a building in
search for a deadly bacteria. They kill most of
the security guards and only keep a few people
alive since they need them to find what they're
looking for. Unfortunately, the ones that are
still alive are about to face a terror much worse
since a deranged serial killer has come back
from the dead to finish what he once started.

Mr. Hell, wow that's an innovative title for a
horror movie isn't it? Low-budget slashers that
take themselves too seriously are usually not my
cup of tea. While I appreciate the fact that
they tried to make a classic slasher flick, I felt
that this should have been more of a comedy
rather than a dead-serious slasher flick since
it had the same campiness about it as "Jack Frost"
did (a movie which I really enjoyed) - only this
didn't come near being as entertaining as the
killer snowman flick was.
There's nothing very creative about the story.
A bunch of terrorists are on the hunt for a deadly
bacteria but run into some problems when the
long dead serial killer called Mr. Hell comes
back from the dead to wreak some more havoc. There
are only two remotely likeable characters in the
movie and they have very little dialogue compared
to the terrorists and therefore I found it difficult
to root for anyone in this movie. The killer looks
like an alcoholic bum and never manages to scare
or terrify the viewer which really worked against
this movie - and the explanation to how he came
back from the dead was also very ludicrous.
Ultimately, this had the potential to be a campy,
entertaining slasher flick but since it took itself
too seriously, it fell flat. The story was poorly
executed and it was difficult to overlook all the
plot holes, the acting was below average and the
killer just wasn't very frightening - nor funny.
If you're a dedicated slasher fan like me, you'll
probably see this anyway but don't expect a very
entertaining movie.

We get a lot of dead bodies with their eyes gouged
out (Mr. Hell has a fetish for eyes), we get a
melted face, a couple of good impalements, legs
chopped off and some decent stabbings.

I hated the score for this movie. At times it
sounded like a drummer in an amateur rock band was
rehearsing - yeah, that's how bad it was!

As I've rambled about in my entire review - this
shouldn't have taken itself so seriously. This
was a very forgettable slasher flick with very
few elements lifting it up. You could do a lot
worse these days but I still wish that it would
have had a little more humour in it.
