Everyone in a dance class is dying for one of the
parts in the next Broadway play, but only three
of them will be able to get one. Soon enough, someone
starts killing off the strongest competition, but
who could it possibly be who's offing these beautiful
female dancers?

Oh my god! I can not believe Lucio Fulci made this
awful slasher flick. Murder Rock is 50% Italian
giallo and 50% American slasher flick and honestly,
it does not work at all. The story is absolutely
dreadful and the only thing impressive about the
entire movie is the directing and photography and
that's the first thing that you notice so the first
minutes of the movie feel relatively promising. Well,
after twenty minutes we are no longer very impressed
and we are all ready struggling to stay awake.

I watched the slasher flick Slash Dance the other
night (actually this movie also goes under that title
under some labels) and I really thought that Murder
Rock would be a whole lot more entertaining. Well,
turns out that Slash Dance is actually more entertaining
than this flick, and that movie wasn't exactly a
masterpiece. The acting is pretty all right and
Lucio Fulci does manage to pull off the directing
part brilliantly as usual. I was disappointed however
by the fact that it wasn't gory at all. I mean, it's
Lucio Fulci for crying out loud.

Murder Rock is by all means a terrible slasher flick
and definitely Fulci's worst movie ever. This movie
will definitely not please his fans and I highly
advice you to stay away from this flick. It's slow,
it's uninteresting, it's dull and it is not even
gory! If you're looking for a giallo-slasher by
Lucio Fulci, well, keep looking because this one
is not worth getting. I've said it before and I'll
say it once again, stay away from this!

Definitely nothing worth mentioning.

Cheesy 80's "dance" music and a terrible "suspense"
score. Hideously bad.

Suspense less and dull giallo-slasher by the Italian
master of horror, Lucio Fulci, but without any gore
at all. Avoid this one, it's absolutely awful
and the only thing impressive about it is the
directing and photography and the fact that it
was made in the first place.
