Someone or something seems to be killing people
in Germany based on fairytales. When Thomas own
grandmother gets killed while being asleep in her
small house in the woods he starts suspecting
that he might be the murderer without being aware
of it. He also starts suspecting that there's a
creature who's taking over his body that commits
these murders and when the full moon rises, so will
the bodycount.

I picked this German werewolf movie up when I was
in Berlin on holidays. The DVD-sleeve showed a
bloody knife cutting through the cover and I thought
like "Hey, a new German slasher!". Well I was
disappointed to see that it was a werewolf movie
but on the bright side, when I started watching it,
it actually looked like a pretty good movie. The
story is very stupid and predictable, even for
being a werewolf movie and the entire movie is
pretty forgettable, but from the looks of it,
it seemed to be a pretty big movie.

Night Time looks almost as good as any theatrical
horrormovie, but there are still some things that
make you understand that it's not. For example;
some of the scenes shot at night involve a flash-
light but the director obviously didn't know how
to make flashlights look good on screen. The lens
flare never seems to disappear and there's an ugly
bright grain that fills the screen. Except for this
small flaw, the film looks pretty good though, the
colours are very vibrant and eye-catching aswell.

I think I might have missed some of the story
since the movie was in German without subtitles.
I do understand most German but there were times
that I had almost no idea what they were talking
about so forgive me if I missed some important
plot additions or twists. Though I don't believe
that I did. Night Time is a good movie for those
who liked movies like Dog Soldiers and Ginger Snaps
but personally I thought this was pretty dull and
the plot wasn't very fast paced or interesting for
that matter.

Only one killing is on screen and that one was
quite fake looking, with a guy getting his head
blown up. Except for that we get a few averagely
gory corpses and a not so brutal knife stab in
the shoulder scene.

Germany is well known for techno music and it's
not often that you don't get a techno track in
a German horrormovie. This one didn't unfortunately.
All we got here was pretty cheesy background muzak
that seemed very out of place.

Night Time aka Sieben Monde is probably a movie that only true
werewolf movie fans might find good. I didn't think
it was anything special at all. Unoriginal and
pretty slow-paced. Too much dialogue and not enough
action for a werewolf movie in my opinion.
