Barbara and her brother are on their way to their aunts
funeral. They're running a bit late and when they
arrive at the cemetery, there's no one there... or so
it appears. Unfortunately for them, the entire town
has been taken over by rabid zombies and Barbara soon
finds herself trapped inside a house with a bunch of
survivors trying to stay alive.

What a great idea! Make a low-budget crap remake of a
well-known zombie classic that has all ready been
re-edited, coloured, remade and remixed countless
times and slap some cheap 3D effects on it. Really,
that's very clever. Yes, I am being sarcastic. Night
Of The Living Dead 3D (because we really did need an
even longer title for this movie) is 70 minutes of
cheesy nonsense with goofy 3D effects that looked like
they were dragged out of a bad 80s slasher sequel.

After having directed such atrocities as Dr. Rage and
Area 51, Jeff Broadstreet must've gotten sick of making
DTV horror flicks as this actually got a theatrical
release - believe it or not. So what's different this
time around? Well, first of all, he stole the script
from Romero and second of all he slapped some 3d
effects on the movie to make it more mainstream. Other
than that, not a lot has changed. The budget looks
about the same (I'd say around $800,000 at the most),
the directing is just a sloppy and incompetent as in
his previous movies, and the acting. Wow, the acting.
Had it not been for Sid Haig I would've thought that
Jeff had cast his friends in this as the acting was
just beyond abysmal.

I should perhaps add that the movie didn't appear to
have been filmed in 3d - like most 3d films are. Most
or all of the 3d scenes seemed as if they had been
CGI-made after the movie was done. This lead me to
wonder whether this was really meant to be a 3d film
in the first place - or perhaps they just tried to
come up with a good way to sell this turd. Every movie
needs a hook right? Especially if they're rubbish.
Not a lot has changed story-wise either from the
original except for a slower pace, less likeable
characters like Barbara who insists on being called
Barb in this movie for whatever reason (that's
probably the most innovative thing about the entire
movie though). Hopefully we won't get to see a Day
Of The Dead 3D anytime soon.

In the end, this is a typical DTV zombie flick which
probably - and hopefully - won't do very well in terms
of money. It's an insult to the original and I'm sure
that Romero isn't very happy with this. Damn it, why
does Night Of The Living Dead have to be public domain?
Public domain movies are always doomed to be remade or
released over and over again - hell someone's even
remaking Alice Sweet Alice now. But now I'm starting
to ramble so at the end of the day - don't bother.

Disappointing. A couple of gory zombies and a shovel
through ones head.

Annoyingly repetitive music that seems to be in just
about every single scene. Awful.

Cheesy low-budget remake without any passion or soul
behind it. Did we really need another crappy remake
anyway? At the end of the day I can't recommend this,
not even for the awful 3d effects. Sure, it's a neat
feature but it doesn't compensate for a crap movie.
