Someone is killing off the girls at a high school with a
big chainsaw in the most violent ways ever. Some really
incompetent cops, an undercover female cop and a high school
boy try to figure out who the killer is, but as the number
of girls in the school rapidly decreases, they start to
wonder if they will ever find out who this vicious serial
killer is, and will they be able to catch him if they do?
Pieces is
an impressively bad Spanish slasher flick but at
least it's an unintentionally funny one. Let me guide you
through this hilarious story. A young boy chops his mother
up into pieces after she's discovered his stack of porn
(well, that's reasonable enough, no one wants their moms
to mess with their porno right?). Forty years later (what
happened to two or five years later?) a deranged serial
killer shows up at a high school and starts to kill the
girls one by one, this takes up a whole lot of time though
so he never seems to find the time to finish his puzzle
(hahaha! seriously, the killer is actually laying a puzzle
and I think it's supposed to be scary!).
The story continues with a female cop going undercover at
the school (very discrete, she's only like 15 years older
than everyone else) and some random high school boy is
supposed to look after her (didn't that kind of defeat
the purpose of having a cop going undercover?). Well, some
more girls get slaughtered in the most violent ways ever
and the it's time for the hilariously bad climax. I mean,
as if the ending would be a big surprise, we had all ready
figured out who the killer was ages ago. The most memorable
scene in the entire movie has got to be when a kung-fu
fighting guy shows up from out of nowhere and starts doing
some kung-fu kicks, I won't spoil the fun for you by
telling you what he says. Another scene that I will never
forget is when the undercover cop screams bastard way too
many times, I laughed until I cried.
Pieces is badly directed, badly executed and the actors are
hilariously bad. All the more reason to why you have got to
see this awful slasher flick. It won't scare you but it will
make you laugh until you cry. It doesn't help that it's
terribly dubbed into English either. This is definitely a
movie you should check out because while it might be awful
it's still a very funny and entertaining movie. Don't think
I'm giving this a rating of 3 because it's a good movie
because it really does deserve a 0. This is definitely a
case of so bad that it's good!
One woman is axed to death, we also get a severed head,
some dismembered body parts, an arm chopped off, a knife
through ones mouth, and a girl is split in half. This is
just the top of the iceberg, this is very gory actually.
Hahaha! The awful soundtrack consists of bongo drums,
cheesy saxophone music and even cheesier dance music along
with an awful synth suspense score.
Hilariously awful slasher flick which will surely entertain
you just because it's so damn abysmal. This is a guilty
pleasure of mine and even though I know it's bad I can't
help but to recommend it. I can't see how anyone could hate
a slasher flick as funny as this.
