A lawyer has her hands full with her daughter Zoe and
her work. Her latest case is a convicted killer who
killed his own son, she however believes that he's
innocent. When she looses the case and the man is
killed in the electric chair, she decides to spend
some more time with her daughter. For her birthday
she gives her a puppet that belonged to the man who
killed his own son. Well, she doesn't seem to realize
that this was a bad idea... a very bad idea.

Oh... my... god! What a Child's Play rip-off! First
we have the killer puppet - naturally. Then we have
the fact that the kid knows that the puppet is alive
but no one around her believes her. And then there's
a bunch of other stuff as well but it'd take me
five pages to write all things that this copied from
Child's Play, Dolly Dearest was original compared
to this rip-off. Either way, rip-off or not, this was
a very bad movie! The title is "Pinocchio's Revenge",
well, that was a bad use of words since I never
really saw what the revenge part was.

The first part of the movie is actually pretty good
with great child actors and a pretty good premise.
It's when the killer doll shows up that the movie
becomes awful. On the front of the cover we get to
see a very mean Pinocchio doll, but in the movie he
looks as harmless as a fly (until the ending where
you can do nothing but to laugh at his angry face).

The movie is actually from 1996 but hasn't been
released on DVD in the states until just recently.
Now I know why. It's just like Lions Gate to release
a relatively old and unknown title on DVD with a
very cool DVD cover, making us believe that it's a
brand new movie.

I guess I should have seen this one coming, I'm not
a big fan of doll slasher flicks and this was one
of the worse ones that I've had to sit through.
Don't rent this title expecting a brand new horror
flick, it's a cheesy 90s Child's Play rip-off and
even if you're a fan of killer puppet flicks, I have
a hard time seeing anyone enjoy this nonsense.

Nothing worth mentioning except perhaps a scene where
a woman gets a knife through the hand.

Again, nothing worth mentioning, very average suspense
score with not a tone of originality in sight.

Stupid Child's Play rip-off with very little to offer.
Not the least interesting and never even close to
suspenseful. Even if you like killer puppet flicks,
I highly advice you to stay away from this rubbish.
