The small community of Paradise has been overtaken by
terrorism and hatred. Meanwhile, a group of nobodies
decide to try to rob an amusement park since they're
all in desperate need of some money but it's not so
easy as the park is crawling with crazy Germans and
suicidal Talibans. Will peace and harmony once again
come to Paradise, or is everybody damned?

This is probably the most controversial movie of the
year and it seems as if Uwe Boll has finally lost it
completely. In less than 2 hours, Postal manages to
offend almost every minority out there including gay
people, blondes, Muslims, conservatives and more.
Well, the conservatives had it coming if you ask me,
whoever is dumb and uneducated enough to vote for
Bush needs to be slapped. Now I don't mind movies
being offensive if they do it tastefully and funny
but Postal is neither. I don't think that Postal will
enrage anyone as you can't take it seriously but it
seems to me that it's offensive just for the sake of
it since the ridiculing of gay people didn't have
anything to do with the plot itself.

Oh wait, there is actually a plot in here? No, not
really. It's a hundred minutes of non-stop action and
shooting combined with some poor jokes and gags. It
doesn't even deserve a plot description if you ask me.
However, Postal is in many ways Uwe Boll's best work
to date since he's actually been creative for once and
come up with a new story. Well, it probably wasn't all
that difficult to come up with since there's no real
story but you know what I mean. I also appreciated the
fact that Uwe showed that he had a sense of self-irony
and didn't mind making fun of himself. Sure, the joke
wasn't very funny but at least the man tried right?

So you're probably asking yourself what kind of movie
Postal is seeing as how IMDb lists it as Action/Comedy/
Thriller and Horror. Remove Horror and Thriller and
you've got Postal, I have no idea why this was listed
as a horror flick since it's clearly not but I know
many of you are dying to see this so that's why I
decided to review it anyway. In the end, Postal isn't
an awful action comedy, it will give you some giggles
and it will keep you amused through and through due
to its fast pace and many action scenes. If there's
one thing that Boll knows, it's how to keep a good
pace throughout his films as they're never boring (well,
Bloodrayne 2 was a drag but it didn't seem like Uwe
cared much for that movie anyway).

Don't believe all the hype though, Postal isn't nearly
as good as people say that it is, unless you have a
really bad sense of humour. I just don't find the
in-your-face kind of humour that funny (mind you,
I did not enjoy either of the Scary Movie movies
either as I thought that they were too stupid and in
your face). Worth renting if you're interested in what
Uwe has come up with this time (which I'm sure that
you all are) but you know that you can't expect an
outstanding flick from this man - at least not yet but
he is indeed improving.

Some minor blood, not a whole lot, a severed hand and
some exploded bodies.

Silly and works great for the movie, I loved it.

Well it is what it is, Uwe Boll has finally went crazy
and made a action comedy with poor gags and lame
jokes. It's occasionally funny and it's definitely
watchable but I'd never watch this in the cinema as
it's not a movie to be seen in cinemas. Get really
drunk and you may enjoy it more than I did.
