Ghosts have
taken over the world and a father and
his daughter struggle to stay alive.

I refuse to write a longer plot description than
that. Why? Because the story was probably made up
as they went along. Pulse 2 is the absolute worst
film of the year. Undoubtedly. That's including
all of Lions Gates atrocious DTV horror flicks
made on a budget of 2000 dollars. Now, I didn't
hate the remake of Pulse, I actually thought that
it was mediocre entertainment. It wasn't great
but it wasn't as awful as it could've been. This
sequel on the other hand couldn't have possibly
been more awful even if they'd tried.
Who's idea was it to shoot 90% of this film in
front of a green screen? Seriously, I actually
think I may be underestimating when I say 90%.
Almost all sets were just pasted in behind the
actors, and not very discretely either. Why did
they do this? What were they hoping to achieve?
I don't think you get what I mean though, I'm
saying that even the most everyday locations
were green screened - a cabin - a forest - a street.
Blow my mind. I've never seen anything like it
before except for perhaps in Small Town Folk
where it was actually done with much more class
than in here.
Pulse 2 was obviously a rush-job as there is no
story to be found in here. It starts out with
some man all dressed in red, walking around in
the streets. Then we get to follow some random
woman as she tries to find her daughter (and
man, this woman can not act for shit, though
I guess it's hard when you're always in front of
a green screen). Anyway, then we find out that
the woman is in fact a ghost and instead we
start to follow her husband as he tries to keep
his daughter safe. Oh it's all so very dull.
The scariest part is that Pulse 3 was shot back
to back with this one so we may be in for another
green screened-horror flick (if this classifies
as one, I'm not sure).
Words can not express how truly abysmal this
pathetic waste of perfectly good discs is and
I actually want all of you to go out there and
rent it. Why? Because it's like nothing you've
ever seen before. THIS people, THIS is when
crap starts to mould. A new low for DTV-horror.

Nothing much, some minor gore.

It doesn't matter.

Pulse 2 sets a new low for DTV horror with its
non-existent plot and its even less-existent
sets. This no-budget, craptastic sequel should
have never been made and I'm dreading the day
that Pulse 3 is released on DVD. Hopefully Pulse 2
flops so badly on DVD that they trash all
materials from Pulse 3.
