Amy's boyfriend, Nick gets sent off to a hospital
after a tragic car-accident but they won't tell her
to which hospital he's going. She teams up with
Lucas, who was also in the accident, and starts to
investigate where the ambulance could've taken him.
They soon find out about St. Rosemary's Hospital, a
hospital which burnt down many years ago. Could this
be the hospital to which Nick was taken?

I've heard nothing but bad things about "Room 6"
and many of you will probably disagree with me, but
I was very pleasantly surprised by this movie. The
movie opens up with one of the most brilliant opening
scenes ever and I knew from that moment that this
was going to be my kind of movie. Imagine lying on
an operating table, ready to get operated, you can't
move a muscle but you're wide awake. You manage to
catch the doctors attention by making a scalpel drop
to the floor and a nurse tells you "Oh honey, we
know you're awake". Now if that isn't the ultimate
nightmare, I don't know what is.

Room 6 really isn't a very original movie, but it's
tweaked just enough to make it feel like it is. It
borrows a little from The Grudge, a little from
Jacobs Ladder, a little from The Sixth Sense and
a little from everywhere else. But it borrows so
little from every movie that it feels more like it
adds spice to the movie than creates the movie.

People have been saying that this was too slow-paced,
but I don't think that it had a pacing problem,
I just think that the people who said this don't
have a very good attention-span as this is built up
the same way as most Asian horror movies are. Yes,
that's right, this is one of the few American horror
movies that actually manages to focus more on building
up a great atmosphere and story than on scaring the
hell out of you right away. But just for the record,
I was not bored even for a minute while watching this movie.

Now, I do have some slight criticism as well though.
I felt like the haunted hospital could have been
used better, some of the dialogues were pretty stiff,
the end twist was pretty predictable and clichéd
and Christine Taylor has the most annoying scream
ever (and she screams for anything). But those small
problems aren't very important. Maybe I've seen so
many bad horror movies lately that I'm just not very
picky anymore but I really found myself enjoying
the hell out of this so give it a chance.

Some nasty-looking zombies is all we get here.

Well, it's nothing special about the soundtrack but
it did manage to create a good atmosphere. It could
have used a little more oomph however.

Room 6 is a classy ghost story which isn't afraid
of taking its time to develop. Sure, some things
about it is pretty cliché but I had a blast while
watching this and I ended up caring for all of the
characters. If you like haunted hospital movies,
I can definitely recommend this one.
