Michelle has just survived a horrible car crash
and is now suffering from amnesia. After the
doctors have finished reconstructing her face,
she is sent to an institution which is meant to
help her get back on her feet. However, when the
people at the institution start turning up dead,
one by one, Michelle has to face her past in
order to survive.

Heading into this flick I had low expectations,
especially considering how much I dislike horror
flicks about Satan. Fortunately, this was
anything but a by-the-numbers religious humbug
movie, instead I got a low-rent slasher flick
with a couple of good twists.

Satanic isn't exactly a great film but considering
the fact that Barnholtz Entertainment is behind
it, I really shouldn't complain too much. The
acting is pretty bad and the story is still quite
dull. Most of y'all will probably never see this
movie till the end but that's where it actually
gets kind of good.

After the people at the institution have started
turning up dead, our heroine, Michelle, has to
face something which we can only dream of in
our nightmares. And sure, it's a bit far-fetched,
but at least it's entertaining. As you can hear,
this is a typical slasher movie which would
never reach the public if DVDs didn't exist. It
doesn't have that home-made feeling to it, but
it doesn't look very high-budget either.

Ultimately I was pleased with the ending and that's
the sole reason to why I'm giving it a rating of
2 rather than a 1. It's a heartless movie and it's
definitely very forgettable but I'm not going to
warn you from renting this as you could do a whole
lot worse than Satanic.

Not a lot, some blood splatter and a slashed throat.

Sounds better than I had expected it to but it
never really takes focus and fails at creating
the atmosphere it should have created.

This is not a movie about Satan, instead it's a
cheaply made slasher flick which only entertains
towards the ending. Most of the time it was very
dull but there are some good things in here so
check it out if you have nothing better to watch.
