Two friends are out hiking in the woods when
they run into a young woman. One of the guys
come in for lemonade but never gets out...
One year later, his friend returns to see what
really happened in that house but what he's
about to discover is beyond what he could ever
had expected.

Scar is your typical standard DTV horror thriller.
It's one of those movies that really try hard to
stay original but struggles with its weak story.
The plot basically revolves around a young woman
and her psychotic mother who kills anyone who
tries to get close to her daughter. The "twist"
is that they both died ten years ago. Nothing of
this feels very interesting and the movie moves
forward very slowly. I swear it felt like the
movie was over 3 hours long, when in fact it was
only one and a half hour long.

Just like with most DTV horror thrillers, the
acting is pretty bad. No one feels very believable
and even though the actors seem to do their best,
it's impossible to really root for anyone. I'm
guessing that the fact that you never really got
interested in the story had a lot to do with that
though. The directing is also very average, I mean,
the camera hardly moves at all, the camera is
always still so the director really didn't do a
whole lot in this movie.

There are a whole lot of good DTV horror flicks
out there so I suggest that you avoid this movie.
It's not completely abysmal and the only reason
for my low rating is because it was such a slow
and uninteresting movie. It just never grabbed
you for a single second. Go rent something else
instead, this one isn't worth the time.

A couple of nasty scars in people's stomachs,
a head dismemberment and a lot of blood coughing.

As expected, the soundtrack is very cheesy and
sounds like it was made with Cakewalk.

This is a totally forgettable horror thriller
which really never goes anywhere. They could
have cut this movie down to 20 minutes and it
wouldn't have made much difference. It just
feels like the script was too short and that
they struggled to make this a full length
feature. Avoid this one.
