Stab 3 is in production and it seems as if someone is
killing off the cast one by one, leaving a photograph
after each murder of Maureen Prescott, Sidney's mother.
Who could it possibly be this time and will Sidney
be able to survive yet another nightmare?

Once again, and for the last time, Wes Craven has returned
to give an end to the screaming trilogy. This time he
doesn't succeed quite as well as the first two times
though and Scream 3 ends up being the worst of the movies.
Let's face it, Scream isn't Halloween or Friday the 13th,
this concept can only be used so many times, a Scream 4
would never have worked unless they decided to kill
David Arquette and Courteney Cox because we just can't
have three characters surviving through each movie.

The entire concept of a ghost-masked killer running around
chasing Sidney, Gale and Dwight has grown old and it feels
as if we need something new. Well, the new stuff with this
movie is that it takes place on a set and has a bunch of
no-name actors getting killed off every now and then. It
seems as if the scriptwriter was struggling badly when he
wrote this flick. Scream 3 is much more silly than the
previous two movies as well with less clever humour and
more stupid comments. Not even Wes Craven manages to pull
this out of its mess.

However, Scream 3 does probably have the most action packed
climax out of all the three movies and it's definitely
the best thing about this movie. There is only one killer,
and thank god for that (I'm assuming you've all ready seen
the movie so I don't think that will spoil anything for
you) and the way they try to tie the three movies together
actually works pretty well. When the movie's over you
still can't help but to feel a little disappointed though
but overall, I think it's a worthy finish to the series.
Now let's pray that there won't be a Scream 4 popping up
in our local video stores any time soon.

Not gory at all, only some knife stabbings. The blood also
looks incredibly fake.

In Scream 3 they've pretty much ditched the pop music and
all that remains is the choir song and some atmospheric
music. Feels kind of worn out by now.

The worst of the three movies but still a worthy ending to
the trilogy. The story feels old and there are way too
many unknown actors in it which gives it a more of a low
budget feel than the previous two had (even this one was
just as expensive to make). Not much too scream about here
but it's part of the trilogy and you should have seen all
three movies if you're a slasher fan.
