Five old men decide to go on a hunting trip
together as a nice getaway from their busy lifes.
They meet up with a couple of other hunters at
a small cabin who are supposed to show them the
area. Instead, it seems as if the five hunters
have just become the hunted as the men waiting
for them are hunting for anything but deer. As
the bodycount begins the friends have to stick
together in order to survive this nightmare...
or as one of the would rather call it, WAR!

I went in expecting a mix between Wrong Turn and
Dead End, but this mixed milkshake was anything
but delicious. The first thirty minutes takes place
around a table where a couple of old men sit and
laugh frantically while they crack really bad jokes
to each other. As I've read a couple of positive
reviews for the flick I figured that it was going
to get better, but it just got worse! The storyline
is utterly predictable, in fact this is probably
the most predictable movie I've ever seen! Camp
Blood was clever compared to this film!

The worst thing is that the movie isn't just very
predictable. It also lacks in every area! The
acting is abysmal, yes this even goes for the
usually brilliant actor Muse Watson. The movie
can barely be called horror, low budget nonsense
would be a better genre description. I've seen
no budget movies with directing better than this,
once again Camp Blood is an excellent example.
See the film does not only look bad in terms of
quality but the lighting is absolutely terrible!
It looks as if someone has used a flashlight for
highlighting the movie since there is always one
spot in the middle of the picture which is lighter
than the dark boarders.

Another thing which bugged me about the directing
was the fact that the scene cuttings are awful.
All of a sudden something would have happened and
you have absolutely no idea how it got that way.
One example is when a guy is sitting in front of
a tree guarding moments later he's tied up in a
tree and we never get to know how this happened?
He was just there, and that was that. With a
relatively basic storyline I think that you could
at least expect a movie without any plot holes but
somehow they managed to put quite a few of them
in there. This made no sense I tell you.

Some of you might think that at least the story-
line is original but I've seen this kind of movie
many times before, Hunting Humans is a good
example and that was at least a decent flick. This
one made you wish that you had never put it on
in the first place. It's a dull, bad-looking and
untalented movie. Do not rent this one! It is
nothing like Cabin Fever or Wrong Turn whatever
some people might say!

I found it funny that the arrows seemed to be able
to move from one place to another place on a mans
body, at one point it's in his armpit (hehe, well
it was!) and at another point it's in his shoulder.
The gore effects here are terrible, we get some
bloodless arrow impalements, some guts and a chopped
off hand, though nothing happens on screen.

If you think you've heard the worst things about
this movie you are wrong! The soundtrack was
definitely the movies worst spot. First of all,
the music never suits the scenes, it simply
feels as if it was put there just to avoid
silence, which would actually have been of my
preference. We get everything from terrible
rock music with lyrics that doesn't have anything
to do with the movie and some cheesy swing music.
For crying out loud, who was in charge of this
score! He should have nothing to do with an
instrument ever again! This guy will obviously
need his movies subtitled as he must be def.

Caution: This movie might destroy more brain cells
than any drug you've ever heard of. It's a dumb,
predictable and totally nonsense movie. It lacks
of exactly everything! The reason why I gave it
one as a rating and not zero was because the
storyline wasn't all that unoriginal. It could
probably have been a better movie if treated
differently, though I'm still not saying that
this movie has any potential. Just stay away from
this would you? It's not worth your time.
