Jennifer Tilly is the star of the upcoming horror flick
"Chucky Goes Psycho" and however much she likes the part,
she misses the good old days when she used to be in big
movies and not just cheesy horror flicks. Meanwhile, a
living doll in a freak show sees Chucky and Tiffany on TV
and decides to go look for them. He brings them to life
and before you know it, the family is a fact. This time
it's three times the terror.

Seed Of Chucky... sounds cheesy huh? At least that's what
I thought. I was dreading this sequel as I really disliked
Bride Of Chucky but 5 minutes into the movie I was already
jumping with excitement. The movie was everything that I
wasn't expecting it to be, it was gory, entertaining and
some of the jokes were hilariously funny. I'm actually even
going to have to say that this is the best out of the five
Child's Play movies. Surely, this won't become a very big
box-office hit, we all know that the mainstream audience
prefers mumbo jumbo movies like "Darkness Falls". But I hope
it makes enough money to result in a 6th instalment.
The movie's filled with homage’s and there seems to be
something going on in every frame of the movie. I could
actually not believe how fast this went by. In that
perspective, this is a flawless movie.

One thing that beat me though was how this series has
taken a turn from being horror to, well comedy. This
was hardly even horror comedy. I read in some review
on the net that this would only please fans of the
series but I strongly disagree to that. I'm not a very
big fan of the series but I still found this more than
pleasing. I mean, Jennifer Tilly is simply amazing and
shows her just how good of an actress she really is. The
directing is nothing special but still good enough.
I really think that it should please the mainstream
audience as well if they only took the time to see the
entire movie without any expectations.

But even if this was a great flick, I still don't see
this belonging in theatres. The movie looks and feels
like a DTV movie. The movie simply looks cheap to put
it in other words. The script wasn't written for a
high budget movie but for a low budget one and I think
that this will probably only get theatrical releases
in very few countries internationally. If it comes to
where you live though, check this one out. Don't
expect it to be scary or creepy or have any suspense
in it at all though, it's a flick about a killer doll,
how scary could it, and more importantly, should it be?

Wooha! We get a melting face, a brutal and gory
decapitation, a knife stabbing and more! This was
really enough to please me!

Luckily, we don't have to suffer through Britney Spears
music, even if her look-a-like is in it. Instead we
get hip hop music, pop music and an overall really well
put together score.

I dreaded this sequel as much as anyone else, even if
some people really anticipated it. Well, they were right
and I was wrong. Seed Of Chucky is a fast paced horror
comedy (though mainly comedy) with lots of gore, scares
and jokes. Check this one out even if you're not a fan
of the series.
