Right before Eve died she had a baby. A scientist
decides to take care of the baby and create a
new species with no weaknesses from the child's
genes. He decides to call the girl Sara. When one
of the scientists students gets involved with the
project things start going out of hand. Half-breeds
start trying to find Sarah to mate with her but
as they're only half-breeds they only have moments
left to live. What will happen to Sara and will
the scientist manage to create the ultimate species?

Well here's a movie that I don't think anyone of
us expected to ever see. It's been six years since
Species 2 was released to the public and I think
that most people will agree with me that it wasn't
a very good sequel. Naturally I didn't expect much
from this either considering that the teaser trailer
looked like some early CGI-effects for a computer
game. To my surprise it turns out that it's not that
bad. I would have to say that this is just as good
as the first one, yet even more interesting and
with more of a plot. If anything, this is the one
that should've been released on theatres.

Sunny Mabrey must've been so disappointed to see
that the she would only be wearing two or three
different sets of clothes since she's fully naked
30% of her on-screen time. She's still a pretty
promising actress though and I hope that we will
get to see more of her in the future, take that
any way you want. Brad Turner is the director here
and it's fun to see that he makes one of the actors
refer to Roswell which also one of his TV-flicks
is called. Brad Turner was clearly the right guy
for directing this movie, he's directed so many
sci-fi flicks and series before that he pulls
this off as good as one can.

While the previous two Species movies were more
sci-fi/action flicks, Species 3 goes more in the
sci-fi/horror direction which I really think worked
well. It's jammed with gore and cool special
effects. We also get to see a lot less of the
stupid alien sex scenes, but for those who like
them, don't fret, they're still in here, just a
little more tastefully made than in the previous
two movies. I'm very satisfied with Species 3 all
in all and I'll definitely recommend it even if
it isn't the best movie.

This is like I said jammed with gore! A guy gets
split in half vertically, we get to see a girl
with her arm chopped off, a guy's face melts in
a very gory and realistic way, another guy is,
well, he gets his head impaled, umm, yeah. There's
even more to it than that people!

The soundtrack stays a lot in the background
and is never the main focus of the movie. The
only time that you even notice that there's
music in here is in a dramatic scene where there's
some piano music. Other than that it blends in
pretty well. No complaints here.

Is it possible that Species 3 could actually
be watchable? Yup! Sure is! I suggest you check
it out, it's not brilliant but hell, there's
just so many rubbish horror movies getting
released these days that we have to settle with
what decent movies we get and this is one of
them. Check it out!
