Harry is a bad
cop, he beats up his suspects and
cuts them with knives. Finally he looses his badge
and decides to become a private investigator instead.
One day, a woman named Meredith comes to him for help,
she wants proof that her husband is cheating on her
and tells him that he can stay at the abandoned house
across the street while spying on him. What Harry
doesn't know is that the house is abandoned for a
very good reason.

Fear Itself really is off to a bad start and it wouldn't
surprise me if this show gets cancelled and pulled off
the air before the first season is over - nor would
I really mind. Last weeks episode, The Sacrifice, left
a lot to desire to say the least and this weeks episode
is even worse. Once again we're given an uninspired,
ridiculously predictable and awfully generic tale of
horror. I mean, just listen to that title; "Spooked",
sounds like an episode of Goosebumps to me and that's
about as scary as this thing gets. Sure we get to
see some drawings of four children on the wall slit
their throats which was kind of new (in a bad way) but
there's really not a lot of horror in this story.
The movie revolves around Harry, an ex-cop who's now
a private investigator. He meets Meredith, a woman
who's desperate to get proof that her husband is
cheating. She tells Harry that he can stay in the
creepy abandoned house across the street to spy on
him (now why wouldn't she just do this herself? and
why wouldn't he question this?). Naturally there's
something fishy going on here and Harry soon starts
to see and hear things that aren't really there. YAWN.
If you remove the S, K, E and D from this segments
title you find out what my feelings towards this movie
are. This was just a sloppy mess.
This show is going down the drain - quickly. I can
honestly tell you that I've all ready given up almost
all hope of this becoming a good show later into the
first season (don't worry, we won't be getting a second
season of this crap). In fact, I'd be surprised to
find even one decent segment from this show. Okay
I'm done writing, this was an hour of my life that
I'll never get back. What a shame.

A slit throat, not much more.

Who cares.

Lame attempt at a ghost story. Lame attempt at a show.
Lame attempt at getting some good ratings. Lame attempt
at everything. Fear Itself has proven to be the sucky
show of the year so far and I'm not even going to get
my hopes up that the next episode will be better
because I'm pretty sure that it won't.
